A wet-hopped IPA brewed with Cascade hops grown locally by our green-thumbed friends of Fat Headís and complimented with Loftus Ranchís Fresh Citra Hop cones.

The best way to sum this is up would be to say it was a Hop Overture and Pleasantly Sweet (H.O.P.S.).

On tap at Fat Heads Pittsburgh. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aroma of stinky, garlicky hops, tropical fruits. Flavor of tropical fruits, a touch of acetone, grassy hops. This one just tastes a bit odd to me, has a fairly similar hop profile to other Fat Heads IPAs but also has some subtle acetone. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Tap at FH, 3 Nove 2013, whew that is one awesome aroma, but it smells almost too similar to Headhunter that I think I woul dhave a hard time distinguishing them. still a solid IPA, there is one thing FH does well and thats IPAís

Draft pour at the source. Pours a crystal clear gold with a white head of foam that lasts. The aroma is fruity sweet hops. Tropical fruits abound. Taste is fruity sweet but finishes dry and bitter. The bitterness lingers on the tongue awhile. Delicious IPA.

Growler at Woodshop 8. Pours a clear golden with weaker foam. Nose is sticky hop resin, dank, juicy mangosteen. Taste is aggressive piney hops, sappy, mango, orange peel. Sharper, powerful bitter palate.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear dark amber pour with a medium bone white head that diminishes steadily. Sticky partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, piney hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of grapefruit, hops, spruce and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
