Draft. Really dominated by coffee but some chocolate, roast and vanilla come through. Very tasty.

Sampled during CBC 2013. Black pour with a nice tan head that sticks and laces well. Nice aroma - roasted malts, velvety, nice coffee aspect, some nice chocolate mingling in there. Rich flavor, more roast, a touch of ash, coffee, and chocolate. Not bad!

On tap at mad mex. Big and black. Smell is volatile coffee. Quite strong, but not as strong as expected for an impy stout. Yes, that aroma is like alky fumes. Whiskey laced coffee impressions. Almost flat. Gets stronger during the session. Turns a little rude towards the end of the session. Finish is volatile coffee. Very alarming to the nose.

On draft at Fatheads N Olnstead OH. Pours black with a tan head. Roasted coffee nose. Coffee flavor with notes of chocolate. High carbonation. Smooth finish. Very tasty stuff.

this one poured a medium to dark brown color with a lighter tan head. Aroma consisted of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and light green hops. Flavor was a bit lacking on the coffee tones, but still a great well rounded higher abv stout.

Bottle share at Voodoo. Not much aroma in the cold. Coffee taste. Huge flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Poured dark with light head. Roasted coffee aroma. Strong regular coffee taste. Solid choice.

This go round was made with Phenix coffee from Cleveland, still super tasty but the amount of coffee in this is crazy to the point i’m getting an almost gritty taste on my teeth. No vegetals, loads of roasted coffee.. some seriously good stuff.

Aroma: Smells like a fresh pot of coffee with hints of chocolate and possibly sugar. Appearance: Black with a tan head that dissipates quickly. Taste: Slight bitterness with a light sweetness to balance. Palate: Medium-full body, watery texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: If this wasn’t carbonated, I would swear I was drinking iced coffee. Now, that being said, the coffee may have been a bit overpowering, but I still think this works as a beer.

Draft… Pours pitch black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Decent retention. Deep-roast coffee and dark chocolate are the major players in the nose - blueberry, raspberry and blackberry nuances as well. Medium-bodied with stinging carbonation. Very roasty Cuban espresso flavor – quite carbonaceous. Medium burnt bitterness. Finishes charred, bitter and a touch acrid.
