COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This imperial rye uses 20% rye malt in the mash. We used Simcoe hops in the hop back to give this beer a pungent piney aroma. Strangely this brew is the perfect compliment to any noodle by Ohio City Pasta. Cheers!

On tap at Mad Mex Robinson. Meh. After a few sips I started gulping so I could finish it quicker. Aroma was OK. Slightly malty with burnt caramel and earth. Pour was a dirty murky brown with a one finger off white head. Taste was just not very good. The rye flavor with the hops clashed too much for my tastes and just didnít go well together. Wasnít undrinkable but didnít enjoy very much....especially since my go-to beer when Iím there is their Headhunter IPA

Hazy copper color. Fairly bitter hop profile. Some decent malt character in the background but hops predominate.

Draft pour at the Pittsburgh location. Poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a clear dark amber with a white head of foam. Aroma is piney and herbal with a bit of grapefruit rind and spice coming through. Taste is fait dry and bitter. Bigger body with a sticky mouthfeel. Medium carbonation.

Tap at FH NO, deep copper, amber, garnet ish type beer, smells of simcoe but also lots of malt, which leads to a chewy thick beer. I really enjoyed the first couple of sips then had really had enough and wanted no more.

Aroma: Floral with hints of citrus hops Appearance: Clear amber with thin, tan head Taste: Immediate medium bitterness quickly balanced by light sweetness Palate: Medium body, heavy carbonation, crisp texture, long finish Overall: Solid effort. Great with pulled bbq pork. Not blown away, but a very good beer.
