Oompa Loompa Chocolate Cream Stout is the golden ticket to luscious indulgence. Brewed in small batches with Belgian Dark Chocolate and Madagascar Vanilla Beans to yield giant aromas and flavors of dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel and vanilla with a creamy mouthfeel and bittersweet finish. All other stouts seem dwarfed by comparison. This is one whimsical, Snozzwanger concoction.

Opaque black with a coffee colored head, small and quickly gone. Surprisingly the aroma is mainly alcohol with hints of roasted malts, the chocolate they advertise is faint with mildly grassy hops, and the vanilla is suggested , if at all. A medium sweetness with the carbonation giving it a prickly sensation, lacking any creaminess. Oddly it seems like it was bottled to soon from the lack of creaminess and bottled to late from its lack of flavor. My least favorite Fathead beer, a disappointment.

355 mL bottle. Nice pour - very active brown head. The aroma is sharp, rather than sweet, with booze joining bitter chocolate. Kinda weird. It tastes stronger than it is, booze-wise. Never gets too sweet, which is nice. Vanilla never makes much of an appearance. Not too much roast.

Bottle: Chestnut brown pour, a little darker in the glass with a deep khaki layer of foam that fades quickly to a very bubbly film & collar. Aroma is pretty mild. Mostly light chocolate notes with hints of coffee, roasted malt, cream, & some stale caramelized sugars. Taste is a little underwhelming as well. Some chocolate malt, a touch of caramel... Again, a strange staleness to the flavor. A little creamy milkiness with some roasted malt in the finish. Wishy washy mouth feel, not as creamy as Iíd expect. Just okay.

"Cocoa, milk chocolate, and slight roast, raisin and cream in the palate. Smooth feel which was surprising given its overly ample head. Cory said it well - great balance between dessert and session. Lingering light bittersweet aftertaste. Thanks ggrumet for the trade!

Bottle thanks to artmcd8! This is my third Fat Headís beer from Art. The other two were pretty stellar so hopefully this one makes it 3 for 3. Itís also my last beer left from the local beer swap 3.14. I told myself I wasnít buying any more beer until I went on vacation so Iíve just been drinking the stuff I got from trades lately. Dark cola pour with a big two finger light brown head. Aroma is like a beer float. (Stout + ice cream) Vanilla ice cream, chocolate, light coffee notes, faint hint of alcohol. Iím enjoying the aroma. It smells like dessert but not in a heavy, overly sweet way. Now for the first sip. The beer has a bit of a bit to it when it first hit the palate. It tingles and sizzles on the palate. The bitterness is much more pronounced than the nose would let on. There is a hint of chocolaty sweetness but it stays in the background. The bitter, roasty notes take center stage. Dry, smoky finish. Iím honestly a little torn on this one. For a cream stout, I donít really care for it. I prefer my cream stouts more on the sweeter side, and this is far from that. Although, I do have to say the there are some sweeter notes coming out of the beer as it warms up. Regardless, itís still not what I look for in a cream stout. Coming at it as just a beer though, itís quite enjoyable. My mouth tastes like I just ate a brownie and smoked a cigar. Itís satisfying in itsí own unique way. Go into this with an open mind, and itís sure to satisfy. Cheers Art, thanks for some great beers!

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2014 This is a delicious beer. Not too strong of coffee, rich in malt and vanilla and chocolate. Very creamy. Poured with a tall frothy head. Suuuuper unfortunate side effect of getting the f*cking oompa loompa song from willy wonka stuck in your head for days and days. I think Iím going mad.

Deep brown pour, nice creamy brown head. Creamy and delicious. Reminds me of a chocolate milk shake with extra vanilla. Really tasty.

Squat bottle from Blue Dog. Pours turbid black with 2-finger dark brown head that laces well. Nose is roasty dark malt, lactic creaminess, cacao. Smells great. Tastes roasty dark malty, somewhat dry, with cacao, backup hops, lactic oaty creaminess, definite hazelnut, and a complex finish. This one is delicious, and another winner from Fat Headís, and if you EVER call my wife that again I will kick your ass!

Looks great, big and black and all. Nice moosey head. Coffee black choco smell. First taste is big black kick in the jaw. The taste is so overwhelming, whewy chewy terrible dark chocolaty. Very little sweetness and quite terrible nasty alky mouth coating thing. What does lye taste like? Whow. Becomes a little volatile near the end. Somebody is trying to bullshit me by putting it in the sweet stout style...HAHAHAH. Try stout or even impy stout.
