Cascade hops are hung on a tapestry of malt that create a beautifully balanced pale ale that will satisfy any hophead without scorching the taste buds. Fried Walleye and Pale Ale .......fuggedaboutit. 53 IBU

Sample at the brewery. Pour is light amber color with off white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy. Some citrus. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is more hops with a touch of caramel malt. This is my second favorite brew on the list. A real treat.

This poured a darker yellow to orange color with a white head. Aroma was light grassy citrusy hops with some pilsener malt notes. Flavor was a bit bready, cookies, and grassy with some light fruity character too from the hops. Decent but a bit disappointing considering how much I enjoyed their IPA.

Enjoyed at the brewery on tap in a sampling glass. The beer pours a medium to slightly darker amber color, with a moderate white head. Fairly pungent west coast hops to the nose, with what seemed to be nods to Cascade and Simcoe. The palate starts out bitter, showing some nice depth of hop flavor. The palate is drier than many examples of the style, a welcome change from many APAs that seem to resemble nothing more than light IPAs or overly subtle English pale ales. Malt sweetness is detectable, but the general dry character of the palate makes it difficult to pinpoint specific variants of crystal malt. The finish is nicely dry, moderately bitter, and clean. Carbonation is accurate, for the style. Overall, a well-crafted, well-brewed example.

On tap, poured a clear golden color with a big white head. Big citrus aroma, lots of grapefruit and lemon. Flavors are straight citrus with a medium malt backbone. Smooth on the palate, fairly dry. Lingering bitter finish.
