Dark Roasted barley aromas as bold as fresh brewed coffee with a hint of toffee. This robust porter boasts a rich, dark brown, mahogany hue and sturdy hopping rates that give a robust roasted finish to this beer.

Had two pints of this at Growl Movement Tap Fill in Salem OR.( brewed at the Portland Fat Heads) Poured a darker brown with a large beige head..very attractive. Nice roasted malt aromas..with some dark chocolate and medium coffees. Smooth tasting with the same basis as the aromas..gets a little ashy near the end. Enjoyable. Nice medium smooth mouth feel. An awesome drinkable porte

Draft @ FH on 11/26/14 in a sample glass dark brown/ black with a thin foam head. Aroma of mocha and burnt ashy malt body, subtle carbonation and with some chocolate sweetness. Also has a strange earthy bitterness hiding in the finish. Dry texture, Overall just ok.

Aroma: Dark chocolate and hints of fresh roasted coffee, but faint. Appearance: Inky black with a rich tan head. Taste: Light sweetness with hints of bitterness in the finish. Palate: Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, long bitter finish. Overall: A nice, solid, well built beer with a rich flavor. Really impressive.

Wanted to see what this would be like, so I got a half pint from the cask. Lots of grain and roast in the nose and the same in the flavor. Not exactly what I was hoping for but still drinkable. I have found out I like more robust porters from having this. Try it

Tap at FH, A medium porter, really a basic porter nothing outrageous here just a standard porter smells good and tastes good, a touch more toffee than standard
