13 oz draught at Pint Room, Dublin. Black; foamy tan head that dissipates into a light covering. Good lacing. Aroma roast, coffee, chocolate. Medium-full body, predominantly roasty with coffee. Very good, yet very forgettable; I had multiple Dragonís Milkís after this and they blew this beer away.

An OK beer. Definitely drinkable. Aroma was decent. Strong piney hops with just a hint of roasted malt. Odd combination. Pour was a nice deep dark brown/black with a one finger tan head. Taste was pretty good. The big hop character of this beer coupled with the bitter roasted malt made the beer way too bitter for an imperial stout in my opinion. Finish is very bitter and harsh. I can appreciate it, but could use some sweetness to balance it out. Nice carbonation and a unique beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma has moderate chocolate, pine, citrus/orange peel, and roasted malt. It pours a dark brown with no transparency. It has a two finger tan head that eventually fades to a thick film. There is a good amount of thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and citrus. Maybe the citrus is orange peel, but it seems too strong for just orange peel. The finish has moderate pine, light-moderate roast, and some light burnt notes. Itís medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Overall, this is a really hoppy Imperial Stout that resembles a lot of todayís Black IPAs.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Phalluslu. poured into a snifter. Large, light brown head on a pitch black body. Aroma is deep, dark chocolate and cocoa with coffee, but short of any burnt or overly roasted aroma. Flavor greets your tongue with a bitter chocolate and then quickly shows off a zesty, citrusy hop flavor. Towards the end there is definitely some warming for an 8.5% beer. medium mouthfeel, and moderate carbonation. Excellent brown lace on the glass when Iím done. Good stuff.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Strong roasted aroma, with a touch of pine. Pours an opaque black with a large tan head. Interesting counterpoint between the roast and the pine/citrus notes from the hops. This is definitely on the American side for a stout, with more hop character then most. Finish is a lingering bitterness, which slowly fades to roast. A nice solid Imperial Stout, if you like hops.

Aroma: Resin and pine hops, hints of chocolate and citrus.
Appearance: Dark black with rich tan head.
Taste: Light sourness with a hint of sweetness.
Palate: Medium body, dry texture, soft carbonation, dry finish.
Overall: Nice and dry, but lacking the flavor and depth I'd expect.

On draft at The Pub- poured almost black brown with a tan ring of head once settled. Nose is piney, almost a black ipa nose. Some coffee and chocolate but quite hoppy nose. Pine and caramel malts, roasted notes and some coffee but more of a black ipa than stout with a decent body and long bitter pine finish. I liked the beer though may be misclassified

Draft pour at Cincinnati Beerfest 2015 pour opaque black with moderate tan head. Nose very hoppy for a stout. Lots of pine, resin, some roasted malt. Taste moderate to lots of bitter bite up front. Then some cardboard before the roast flavors. Late palate some chocolate. Moderate bitter finish. Very hoppy for a stout. A little watery mouth feel.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle, pours jet black with solid tan head, smell has some roast, more pine than expected, hint of citrus, taste is piney hops up front, burnt, toasty malt bitter coffee in the middle and a hard, long bitter finish, prickly carbonation but thick on the tongue, overall pretty solid, I love hops so I like where they are trying to go, just too bitter on the finish, should mix in some lighter malt to balance this out more and it could be a home run

Tap at mellow mushroom new Albany. Nose is hoppy for style. Pour is black and lingering brown head. Piney taste and smooth medium body. Creamy even. Says 8.5% but doesn't taste like it. Basically reminds me of a simpler and smoother Rasputin - no raisin or complex taste like that but still good.
