COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smoked Keller Bier inspired by our Brewmaster’s travels to Northern Bavaria. Franconian beachwoodsmoked malts are combined with biscuity malts and balanced with a firm dose of German Noble Hops. Pair this with our grilled Parma Karma Platter.

Nice smoked beer, a bit one dimensional, but overall very enjoyable. Poured clear deep golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is straight up smoke, along with the flavor. A bit of graininess in the flavor, but the smoke really dominates. An enjoyable beer and definitely a bit unique.

Couple of samples at Fat Head’s. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white. Aroma of smoke, ham and not much else. Flavor is smoky and hammy, but the true flavor of the beer comes through on the back end. A nice blend of light sweet malt and crisp noble hops. Nicely done.

Extremely smokey aroma, flavor was definitely a little too extreme.... Smoke really overpowered the palate from tasting anything else... Really couldn’t drink anything else after that... Not the best

On-tap at Cole’s. A very light body with lots of white foamy head. The line probably needed to be cleaned up, but the flavour was fine. A significant but not overbearing smoked malt, rather faint in the aroma, in a well-malted beer. Good drinkability.Easy drinkability.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2010 Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a clear orange color with a medium thin eggshell white head that diminishes steadily. Jagged top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Smoked malt aroma with some caramel notes. Medium body with a moderate smoke character and flavors of toasted malt and hops. The finish is smoky with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
