Iíve completely avoided pumpkin brews so far this fall (not a fan), but got this as part of a mix six grocery and was pleasantly surprised. Toasty, pumpkin spice, brown sugar aroma. Tastes are even pumpkin, bread, caramel. Good sipper.

Fat headís Spooky Tooth is a rich deep copper mostly clear brew that has a firm head of tan bubbles. Nose is pumpkin, cloves, a touch of cinnamon and a nice malty background. The taste is natural pumpkin with a good amount of pumpkin pie spice. it reminds me of a really good pumpkin pie with a nice alcohol hit at the end. The body is soft and full. a really good pumpkin beer. possibly my new favorite.

Bad label. Squat 12 oz bottle. Dark woody orange, lacey white head. Perfumy, spice aroma. Slippery mouthfeel. Woody, sweet, spicy. Peppery finish. Does anyone really like this style? ABV well masked. ABC Liquors, Betton.

Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark copper with a nice thick off-white head that hangs around a while. Aroma has a nice autumn spice bent to it with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. Flavor is rich with the expected autumn spices and is accompanied by some solid vanilla notes. Mouthfeel has a nice solid creaminess to it. Pretty solid pumpkin ale....a style which I am thankful is only around for a short amount of time.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
:Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass amber red with a nice off white head.
Aroma is fresh baked pie and subtle hops.
Flavor is cinnamon pumpkin. Thank goodness the clove is underdone because they ruins a seasonal (for me at least). Light nutmeg & malty bread as well.
Not a huge fall pumpkin brew fan but this is hugely well done. And might add the 9% is masked quite well. Kinda spooky how it catches up with ya...

Okay...another big-bodied, pumpkin ale; yet, it is done quite well. These heavy pumpkin ales always remind of bourbon for some reason. Nice, full bite, and a beer I donít mind sinking my teeth into despite these dreadful pumpkin beers not being my favorite thing. Serving size: 12oz bottle.
