Rich amber color with aroma of sweet pumpkin pie and savory spices with hints of sweet malt. Rich and creamy with a chewy mouthfeel that you can sink your teeth into. Flavors of pumpkin up front then sweet malt, pie crust, spice, hints of brown sugar and a clean finish. We stopped just short of the whipped cream. But we like the way you think.

Mild spice pumpkin flavor that lingers slightly. Just right without being overwhelming. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

bottle - This beer has a nice spicy aroma with nutmeg especially noticeable to me. The flavor is sweet and spicy with a good kick of pumpkin and some caramel. Medium to full bodied. The 9% abv is buried. Quite good.

Poured into a perfect pint. 3.5 A: Clear orange amber color. Two fingers of frothy beige head. Retention is about average and just a wisp or two of lacing is left. 4.25 S: Big pumpkin pie spiciness. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger. Strong layered caramel. Toasty malts with a sweet graham cracker component. 4.25 T: Taste is as good as the nose. Again potent spices mentioned above. Sweet maltiness coming in the form of toastiness, sweet caramel, and hints of molasses and toffee. 3.75 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Moderately creamy and super smooth with a sweet tangy finish. 4.0 D: One of the better pumpkin beers offered. Definitely worth a purchase if pumpkin is your thing. ★ 724 characters DavoleBomb, Sep 26, 2015

Decent for a seasonal pumpkin ale. -------- count is really not a good way to run a comment section.

355ml bottle. Dark amber shade. Small head. Nice aroma with vanilla and ginger. Gets some of the pumpkin flavour too. Tastes like a nice caramelly red ale with spices lurking all around. No real flaws and definitely one of the better pumpkin beers Iíve had. Doesnít drink near 9% either.

Aromas of pumpkin, allspice and clove, some vanilla. Taste is pumpkin, allspice, chickory root, and light vanilla. The bite of all the spices is very strong in this beer.

Bottle from somewhere in NW Florida. I think the name is appropriate: Imperial pumpkin ale. Nice notes of vegetal pumpkin and spices with a warming hint of the 9 ABV. So tasty I drank the whole bottle before I thought about specifics for rating it. Nice fall treat.

Fat Headís Spooky Tooth is a quite mellow for an Imperial pumpkin. Dark brown pour with a fluffy white head. Surprisingly low aroma. Taste is a mellow blend of pumpkin and vanilla - not real exciting but still good. Spooky Tooth does a good job of hiding the high ABV.
