COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich amber color with aroma of sweet pumpkin pie and savory spices with hints of sweet malt. Rich and creamy with a chewy mouthfeel that you can sink your teeth into. Flavors of pumpkin up front then sweet malt, pie crust, spice, hints of brown sugar and a clean finish. We stopped just short of the whipped cream. But we like the way you think.

Pours orange with a fleeting wispy head. Pumpkin spice aroma with malt and some alcohol notes. Big pumpkin pie flavor with some warming at the finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and slightly creamy. The carbonation level is pretty low. The finish is sweet and cloying.

Pours an amber brown with little to no carbonation and no head. I normally wouldn’t like his but it works extremely well for the style. Aroma is pumpkin spice to the max with some caramel accents. Flavor is very full with a rich pumpkin pie flavor. Tastes like pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Delicious!

On tap at Fatheads. Pours a dark brown color with a small white head. A fruity spicy pumpkin nose. The flavor is spicy, chocolate, big pumpkin. Quite good.

Pours cloudy dark orange, almost no head or lacing. Aroma nutmeg, cinnamon, graham cracker, pumpkin, slightly earthy, brown sugar. Taste faint earthy bitter, sweet graham cracker, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, bready, dark caramel, slight roast note, canned pumpkin. Mouthfeel full body, medium high carbonation, but of alcohol astringency, but not much warming, finish is balanced, slightly favoring sweet side. Overall real good, complex pumpkin pie flavors, but not cloying or overpowering, very well made, my favorite pumpkin beer.

Bottle:   A nice warming sort of Pumpkin Ale.   A little bit of alcohol, some moderate spices that aren’t too strong but they linger long.   Clean maltiness, good sweetness, an overall good Imperial like Pumpkin Ale.   Nice dark orange color.   A touch dry on the finish.   This one was good!   Thanks Kevin!

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/27/2013. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep reddish orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pumpkin, brown sugar, caramel, toast, biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and herbal earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, pumpkin, and spice notes; with good strength. Taste of brown sugar, pumpkin, caramel, toast, biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and herbal earthiness. No bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of brown sugar, pumpkin, caramel, toast, biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of pumpkin, malt, and spice flavors; with a great malt sweetness/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately slick and lightly syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice imperial pumpkin ale. All around good balance and complexity of malt, pumpkin, and spice flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
