COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The German Brewers’ Star represents Fire, Air, Water and Earth together to form perfect balance. It’s clear that the brewer’s star was intended to symbolize purity; a brewer who affixed the insignia to his product was thereby declaring his brew to be completely pure of additives, adjuncts, etc. In fact, folklore has it that the six points of the star represented the six aspects of brewing most critical to purity: the water, hops, grain, malt, yeast, and the brewer himself. Our Head Brewmaster created this beer in honor of the history of the Brewers’ Star. Crackery aromas of fresh milled grain and grassy, floral hops, with crackery malt flavors, fresh cut hay and bitter noble hops. Clean, crisp and refreshing.
Food Pairings: Salads, Pork, Light Seafood.

Draft at Myrtle’s Punch House, served in a pint glass filled to the brim. Pours a clear bright gold with a small white head that leaves some bubbles throughout. Not much hop or snap to this one, just a clean, straightforward slate of pale, crackery, and cereal malts, straw, and a hint of grass. Light-bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a malty, but pretty clean mouthfeel. Not a lot going on here, but drinks easy and gets the job done.

Tap: Mostly clear golden body with a soapy, quickly fading white head. Small spots of lacing. Mild grain, grass, under-baked bread, & faint lemon zest in the aroma. Fresh biscuit & bread flavor. Heavy lager yeast, clumpy. Mild pale malt sweetness, cereal grain, earthy grass, a hint of citrus zest, & a faint metallic note. Small touch of honey with a zesty noble hop finish.

Tap. Golden with small head. Strangely dry and lightly hoppy. Interesting. I think it’s more of a Keller, but I’m not an expert on these things.

Yellow pour with creamy white head and lace. A lot of papery flavor and floral hops. The paper maybe from pilsner malt because it isn’t oxidation. Light sweet malt strart with barnyard tones with a flat bitter finish. Light/medium body with good carbonation. Pretty good beer I think what it is supposed to be

The perfect balance for a beer to have. Very smooth and tastes of fresh milled grain and grassy, floral flavors with crackery malt flavors. Fresh cut hay and bitter noble hops. Clean, crisp and refreshing. Great to pair with light foods like salad, pork or seafood.

On tap at the bocktown monaca. The aroma is just a clean beery smell with no ill attributes to the nose. First taste is strong enough to let you know its beer but it immediately comes across as mild & friendly. Easy going during the session. Well behaved at that. Goodly amount of co2 in there. Yes, lots of manners and behaves like a gentleman. Good overall beer experience. Would not hesitate to drink again. One of the better fatheads beers I’ve tasted.

This one poured a straw color with a white head. Aroma was of pale malt, corn almost, and grass. Flavor was clean grassy and pale malt. Solid for the style but boring.

Clear yellow. Smell is weak. Corn and honey. Very weak. Mild wheat acidic finish. I think the Lagers made here are good but they’re still lagers.

The beer comes with a slightly hazy straw color, some clean whit head and no lacing. The smell is a decent malty smell but not much else, kind of mild. The taste is similar with a decent malt flavor and mild hop but that’s it. The mouthfeel is somewhat clean and extremely mildly bitter but fades quickly. Overall, a medicore lager from a great brewer. Avoid...better options available here.
