Review from a growler fill I got back in mid Winter. Itís a clear amber color that pours with approximately two fingers of pure white head. The fresh hopping with whole flower Citra and Simcoe hops gives it a big nose of fresh green hops. Like other great examples of style the hop aroma is grassy, reminiscent of hemp, with notes of pine. The fresh green hops come through big time in the taste as well, itís really what this beer is all about. The malts donít really register on my taste buds, nor is there much bitterness, other than a slight lingering bitterness on the finish. The mouthfeel is relatively light and easy drinking. No oily mouthfeel like you get with some IPAs and DIPAs.
Overall this beer does just one thingófresh hopsóbut it does that thing very well. Although I canít do a side by side comparison I think it would hold its own pretty well against Founderís Harvest Ale, which is the standard against which I judge fresh/wet hopped beers.

On tap at cle brewpub. Very nondescript APA. Not bitter at all and goes down smooth. Some good grassy flavors. Nothing special.

Golden beer with a sticky off white head. Big resiny hop nose with lots of grapefruit rind. Lots of fresh hop flavor with candied grapefruit rind, tropical fruit, peach and tangerine. Some thick caramel sweetness under all the hops. Nice fresh hop beer.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy white head that left great lacing. The aroma was bitter and tangy with a strong bite of grapefruit and undertones of catbox and caramel. The flavor was very bitter yet tangy and sweetish with a very strong bite of grapefruit and perfume and a bit of catbox underneath. Very long bitter and hoppy finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

Draft at Dutchís a couple months ago. Pours a clear dark golden/amber color with a small to medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale and toasted malts, light caramel, with herbal, citrus and light earthy hops, grass, lingering bitterness. The nose was a little weak.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 On tap at Mad Mex Robinson. Clear orange yellow. Nice foamy head. Sweeter perfumy aroma. Yes, lots of hops in this stuff. Seems like more than 6% in here. Quite a personality. Some co2, not much. Long bitter medicinal finish, borders on IPA territory. Not impressed.
