On draught at 1808 American Bistro. The beer pours a slightly hazy orange color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, malt and citrus. Light-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, toasted malt and a bit of pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2013 On tap at Dutch’s, wet-hopped version. Mostly clear orange amber color. Great thin rocky off-white head, leaves very nice lace. Awesome juicy, citrusy hop nose. Some floral hop, light spicy hop. A very light caramel, sort of toasty malt backbone. Medium-plus body, lightly sticky. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation. moderate bitter taste, light sweet finish. Very tasty hoppy pale ale, very nice complex hop flavor, with a long juicy hoppy citrusy aftertaste. Awesome. Significantly better than the standard.

Taster on tap at Neon’s. Half hazy orange amber color. Thin white head. Leaves respectable lace. Stronger, but spicier hop profile. Some grapefruity citrus hop. More assertive, aggressive hop profile for a pale, I like it. Grapefruit citrus and little tropical fruit. Light spicy hop, some spicy malt. Caramel malt profile. Bigger bitter taste, kind of zesty, minimal sweet. Good, assertive, hoppy bitter pale ale. Just not as smooth or easy drinking as your typical pale ale.

Draft at The Lackman, served in a pint glass. Pours a clear gold color with a small white head that leaves streaks of lace in the glass. The aroma is way more dank than expected, with marijuana, cat piss, cheese, onion, caramel, and grapefruit. Flavor of herbal tea, citrus, pale and caramel malt, lemon, and leaves. Light-medium bodied, with a bitter, leafy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Really unusual, memorable, interesting APA.

Draft at Dutch’s a couple months ago. Pours a clear dark golden/amber color with a small to medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale and toasted malts, light caramel, with herbal, citrus and light earthy hops, grass, lingering bitterness. The nose was a little weak.

Draft to pint at Dutch’s. Looks good; a transparent deep orange with foamy off-white head. Smells good too; fresh juicy citrus hops with a pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. A great fresh-hopped APA!

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a transparent orange with ample off-white head. Smells of a fairly bitter hop profile with a pale malt backbone and a touch of soap and meh. Tastes like it smells, only less hoppy, with an average mouthfeel. Not up to brewery standards.

Trail Head Pale Ale-4-7-7-3 Gold pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of bready malt, caramel, and a citrus hop aroma. Flavor is bready malt, citrus hops, with some resiny hops creeping in as well. Very nice bitter finish for a PA. Medium bodied with just a hinto fizz. Still pretty good beer

FROTHINGSLOSH (5077) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 6, 2014
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy white head that left great lacing. The aroma was bitter and tangy with a strong bite of grapefruit and undertones of catbox and caramel. The flavor was very bitter yet tangy and sweetish with a very strong bite of grapefruit and perfume and a bit of catbox underneath. Very long bitter and hoppy finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.
