COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with imported Belgian Chocolate and Madagascar Vanilla Beans. Pours a deep black with big chocolate aromas, some roasted malt and hints of vanilla. Creamy, smooth with rich chocolate flavors (dark and milk), sweet roasted malt, hints of coffee flavor in an almost cappuccino-like way with the vanilla coming through and a clean, dry in the finish.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2010 Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours black with a creamy medium tan head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of cocoa and malt. Medium, smooth body with a sweet mocha flavor that has some malt and hop notes. The finish is chocolatey with a vanilla and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap sample at FH. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average fizzy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted malt, lactic and chocolate aroma. Medium to heavy chocolate sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a very good beer that met my expectations.

Aroma: Light hints of chocolate, vanilla and toasted malts. Appearance: Black with a thick, tan head. Taste: Medium sweetness with a light bitterness. Palate: Full body, heavy carbonation, crisp texture but minimal finish. Overall: It works, but it’s really underdeveloped.

It pouerd deep dark with a thin white head. Very limited chocolate and vanilla aroma. The taste was very lacking and unbalanced. There was not alot of chocolate character. It did have a dry hoppy mouthfeel, but it wasnt enough to overcome the lackluster taste of this beer.

Very mediocre stout. Aroma was OK...chocolate and vanilla mainly with coffee beans coming out as the beer warmed. Pour was a standard (but inviting) deep dark brown with a one finger tan head. Taste was very weak and did not match the aroma. Tasted like seltzer water that had Hershey’s syrup and beer mixed with it. Good carbonation helped to bring the beer along.

bottle shared by dankman what i remember most about this one is that it should be classified as a smoked it was dominated by the aromas of smoke the chocolate and and stout were hidden so far in the back ground it was hard to tell what style it would have been

This poured a black color with a light tan head. Aroma was sweet chocolate, some roasted notes and some vanilla as well. Flavor was very smooth rich and creamy dark chocolate, some sweet milky vanilla and some light mochachino notes. Good beer.
