2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 mgumby10 (1856) - Jupiter, Florida, USA - SEP 12, 2007
Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Not much going on in the nose. Some grainy malts are all I really pick up. The flavor is slighty malty with just the faintest hop flavor. Kind of bitter aftertaste that really didnt sit well with me. Just nothing exciting or interesting about this at all. Wasnt horrible, but I wouldnt have it again.

from Saarlander, thanks Aaron. nothing exceptional but certainly not bad either. just an easy drinking decent session beer. I thought this had better flavor than their Pale Ale.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Reid (1384) - Salem,Oregon, Oregon, USA - SEP 5, 2007
This is wierd.
NO way it resembles an amber, its golden, clear with a tiny white bubbly head ,looks more like a malt liquor!
Nasty over sweet aroma, again malt liquor like.
All I get as far as flavour is very sweet malts, bordering on sickening and cheap corniness.
Bad mouthfeel, to cloying.
Over all nasty stuff.
this is weird this is a totally different beer than many have described. To me this is a cheap ole malt liquor.
Has the recipe changed?

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 troyc (2014) - Oklahoma, USA - JUL 31, 2007
(Bottle) Pours a light copper color with an average looking head with nice lacing. Average palate, with rather strong carbonation. Aroma is nothing special, just some caramel malty notes. Taste is a tad more interesting, with some light spice and little bit of astringency. Finish was a little too sweet and unfulfilling.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 lb4lb (2021) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 27, 2007
Gold, slightly cloudy pour. Bright white medium lasting head. Smell is a very slight touch of lager yeastiness, but mostly of fruity hops. Taste is very bland, watery, and a lightly flavored hop finish. Nothing tasted bad, but it was easily one of the blandest beers I’ve ever had. If you’re at Trader Joes and want to pick up a beer their, I’d recommend the Fat Weasel Pale ale over this one.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 bhensonb (7131) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 6, 2007
Sort of a light spicy, citrus aroma. Golden color like a lager, with a frothy white head that almost laces. The spice becomes definitely noticeable as the glass approaches the lips. Thin. Fizzy. Nice floral notes, something of breadiness, and a bitter that is mild but florally attractive. Not really all that citrusy, but the spice notes appear in the finish. It is rather light, especially for an amber, but it is rather tasty.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with ughsmash (thanks!). Poured a medium and clear golden/amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of spiciness, citrus, and biscuity. Tastes of the same. Thinner body. Boring.
