3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yellow gold with a smallish head, aroma is malty with yeast. A bit thin, with a non-offensive but non-distinctive overall flavor. The malt presence is there but has no real character and the hops just kinda shows up in the finish. Nothing to rave about, but it's light and drinkable and could have a place during a session - plus you can find it at Trader Joe's for a real bargain price.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear, light golden appearance, decent head formation. Clean malt and grain aroma. Very light palate, mild biscuity maltiness with a fair amount of hop bitterness in the second half.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Light golden yellow color with a white head. A wet musty aroma with a cardboard flavor. A little sticky on the palate a slightly harsh malt flavor.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A golden medium bodied ale. Well hopped, sweet malty balance. Better if drunk a bit colder to keep the alcohol from showing up too much.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy golden color. Malty and strong like a Belgian ale. Not bad, but would not be one of my first choices for an ale...

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Not too much flavor to cover up the 7.1. Does have a nice amber maltiness to it up front, but a bit watery and not too much too this beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Got this at Trader Joe's - is this contract brewed for them? Anyway, golden bodied, small head with multi-sized bubbles, great lacing. Taste was thick and malty sweet - almost reminded me of a maibock in character. On the other hand, the 7.1% alcohol shows up stronger as it warms, making me think of a typical 40 of malt liquor. Not too bad, actually.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. I would swear they've changed the recipe to this one over the last few years. The beer is fairly non-deScript. A few hops add to the overall flavor, but it's a little thin and doesn't stand out. We've included this in 2 blind beer tastings. years ago it finished fairly well (tied with Sierra Nevada), but the last time it finished near the bottom.
