Clear gold... looks like a pale lager. Smell is kind of bad. Taste is not much better. Trader Joe’s could do better, although the price was right. Only real upside to this beer was the high alcohol content and the price.

Clear golden body with minimal head. Corn and grass aroma. Slightly sweet taste with a hint of hops. Clean ending.

Bought at Trader Joe’s. Pours a clear golden with nice carbonation and a one finger white head. Nose is not big offering sweet fruit, malt, and grain. Alcohol is noted in the flavor. Caramel malt is prominent as well. Soon the beer smoothed out. It needed that, too. It became a nice beer. Finish is fruity and that alcohol never went away. One not to give up on but it begins too aggressive.

In Chicago so must be brewed by Schell. Pours a medium golden with a thick fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, with a rich grainy sweet corn character with a very light citric note. Flavor starts with a caramel and toffee sweetness before gaining a light hop bitterness that stays very reserved through the finish. As the beer warms, some alcohol notes become quite apparent and a metallic bite lingers through the aftertaste. Medium body and a bubbly carbonation. I was up and down on this beer but I don’t think it is as bad as many seem to say, a little off balance but easy drinking

355ml bottle from Trader Joes in Indianapolis. Bottle says it’s brewed by Stenhaus. Pours a nice amber with a thick head that quickly dissapated. No noticeable aroma. Taste is mostly malty sweetness. No, it’s all malty sweetness. No finish. I was surprised to see the 7.1abv statment on the bottle. I don’t see the point.

Sampled at World Beer Festival in Raleigh NC - this was called an Amber Ale but didn’t pour like one - poured a gold color with little head. A malty, yeasty aroma with the taste of malt and bread. Not great, not terrible.

12oz bottle: Pours a translucent gold with a thick, frothy head that settles, but laces nicely. The nose is rather dead - offering little in the way of phenolics or malt presence. The body is a medium build, with a soft push of caramel sweetness. It dries on the back of the tongue on the way down. Hmm, this is the most tasteless 7.2% beer I’ve ever encountered. How is this even possible. Tastes like a glass of spritzer water was mixed with a tablespoon of amber malt extract. No hops, no yeast imprint, no malt complexity. I’m dumbfounded. Is my tongue broken? At the same time, I don’t taste any real flaws either - it is just kind of there.

Bottle. Large, rocky-frothy, white head. Golden body. Malty aroma of cereal, hay and some wheat/bread. Light herbal hops. Sweet taste - pretty muddled flavors. Light, sweet, sticky body with a mildly bitter finish. A so-so beer with an overall muddy profile. Could use some refinement.
