Beer Snob (356), Ontario, Canada Aug 31, 2006 Nice balance of malt and hops and really hides its alcohol well. A nice end of evening ale and certainly one I’d buy again.
DrBayern (977), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Sep 19, 2008 Date: 09/19/08, 12 oz. bottle courtesy Doboy, thanks Ed

Aroma - Sweet light fruit, grain, faintly floral

Appearance - Pale gold, medium white head that seems to last well and decent lace.

Flavor - Starts off with plenty of fruity sweetness and that way. Some bitterness at the finish, but it has a distinctly metallic aftertaste.

Palate - Medium body and carbonation, somewhat sticky,

Overall - Not too impressed with this, sweet but without any depth to support it.
esjaygee (830), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Sep 12, 2008 Golden yellow with a medium white head that leaves streaks of lace. Aroma of caramel, soap, sweet malt and grains. Taste of caramel, sweet malt, alcohol with some mild hops mixed in. Sweet sugary aftertaste, perhaps too sweet. stchloe (197), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 7, 2008 Apparently made of TJs. Explains the price and quality. Cheap but unmemorable. Adam_Splitter (7), Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA does not count Aug 23, 2008 Pours deep golden red, with a sweet ,sherry aroma. Offers just a hint of Abbey Ale taste and has a full balanced mouthfeel. Detected a hint of apple? Deep fermented fruit with a nice malty finish. My bottle said it was Steinhaus in Ulm MN, but the brewery appears to be located in California. This was a Trader Joe’s find. Sparky27 (600), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear medium gold with a 2 finger white head. Nose is malt and biscuits. Taste is malt, fruity sweetness and a bitter alcohol finish. Light to medium mouth feel. Not very good.
