12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s in Short Pump/Glen Allen, VA. Pours a clear orange-ish pale amber with a medium head, low retention and moderate lacing. Grainy malt aroma with some slight caramel and fruity notes. Taste is caramel, pear and some stone fruits. Not much bitterness. Medium body.

Bottle acquired via trade with dchmela. THANKS DAVE!!! So I am not quite sure why there are so many haters of this...not as complex and mind-numbing as FW11 or as deliciously hoppy as Union Jack but it isn’t a bad beer. Not quite ripened orange peel in color with just a slight yellow tint and 1-inch ivory head with moderate sticky lacing. Aroma is a mixture of floral and fruitiness. Quite malty with caramel and toffee dominating the flavor. Again, not bad.

Medium aroma of bread/yeast. Clear, golden color with lots of fizziness. Lots of malty sweetness up-front on the palate with metallic notes mid-palate and little to no finish. Creamy mouthfeel coats the palate, and the metallic notes become less evident as the tongue is coated. However, the malty/creaminess is balanced iwth the nice carbonation. Not bad, though would be better without the matallic notes and with more of a finish

Pours a nice medium color. Has a sweet hoppy floral aroma. Has a decent hoppy flavor. This stuff tastes quite sweet. Can’t taste the alcohol, I think the sweetness covers it up.

chicken pocks scattered the pretty massive off-white head that seemed to shrink as I watched..glimmering bronz in color..aroma spilled with baked bananas and whipped cream or scrambled eggs with sugar?..Eggish I must admit..took me a few sips before I could get anything..too cold i think...egginess flows into the flavor also...in mysterious ways I must say...like a recently collapsed liquor flavored Soufflé...maybe a gran marnier Soufflé without such an orange presence...If 7.1% abv is accurate, then it is very tame..but I do taste an alcohol presence...

Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours a clear golden color with a decent white head. Light malt aroma. Grassy. Nice dry taste. Some malt and a hint of hops. Crisp finish. Nice beer. Something I’d have on a golf course.

Nice balance of malt and hops and really hides its alcohol well. A nice end of evening ale and certainly one I’d buy again.

Bottle. Pours a pale orange color, not of an amber but more of a pale ale. Slightly hoppy but not overly so. Finish has a hint of sweetness.

Overall I was not disappointed with this brew, the balance between alcohol and grains was suprisingly good. The taste and finish were better than higher priced European imports. Color, lace and small bubbles remind me of Martinelli’s, except with a brief head. I can go through a few of these in one sitting. $4.49/six @ 7.2% is a decent value for me.
