Kettle soured American Wheat Beer hopped exclusively with El Dorado hops. This newer hop in the block adds a potency of citrus, pineapple, and slight grassy notes. Hazy straw yellow in color, tart, refreshing and a bit tropical.

GABF 2014. I assume this is the version served. Yellow color; light haze in the color. Some hops, enough you know they are there. Lightly sour flavor. This is solid. Dry yeast and flowers in the finish.

GABF 2014 Rating (Denver, CO). Pours a pale yellow hue, some brighter sunny glow, a faint haziness. Frothy whitish head atop shows a mellow filmy ring, ok lacing and stick around. Aromas are a bit citrusy and hoppy, touches of lemon and white grape meet some lactic acidity, lemon and yogurt. Touches of bread, bitter earthy hops. Faint banana, pear, fruit. Initial is lighter end of the fold, gentle green apple and lemony sourness is mellow, touches of earth, bread, some cobwebs and bitter hops. Florals, hernal, a touch grassy. Mellow citrus, some bread, straw. Backend is a bit dry and bitter, a touch yogurty. Some cobwebs, gentle green apple. Solid. Nose a touch sweeter but the hop play is nice, more mellow sour bent.

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’14, day 1, 12/08/14. Lightly hazed golden with a decently appointed off white covering. Nose is light spice, straw, butter citric peel, tangy apricot, light smoke, tarte peach, hop notes. Taste comprises earthy tones, tangy lemon rind, hay, lime cordial. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tangy close. Ok, a little basic perhaps and trying to be two things instead of one - hops and sour together at last, perhaps not? Came over more like a Berliner Weisse.

This one is like an IPA mixed with a sour. Drinks like a mediocre saison. The bitterness and sourness are both somewhat mild compared to a straight IPA or a straight sour, but this one seems to meet in the mediocre middle.
