Avery Strong Ale Fest 2013--hazy golden with a thin, unstable white head. Nose was primarily hoppy with some floral and leafy resins mixed with a little grapefruit rind and caramel. Flavor starts kinda bitter and acidic with caramel and grapefruit rind, pine resin, and acidic bitterness. Yeesh.

Tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest 2013. Pours a orangish appearance with a cream colored head. Fairly tropical fruity, grapefruity, pineapple, toasty malty aroma. Flavor is pretty well balanced with some mango/pineapple notes, caramel and toasty malts. Pretty nice brew.

On tap at Avery Strong Ale Fest poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness and earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light fruittiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

On tap at Denver Winter Brew Fest ’13. Pour is clear golden witha bright white head. Super citrusy/piney, a touch of caramel, weed, resin, and biscuit in the aroma. Taste is huge weed, ganja, nice pine notes, biscuity backbone, and grapefruit peel with a long-lasting bitter aftertaste. Sticky mouthfeel with high carbonation. Pretty tasty DIPA.
