3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Coffee and some grain. Golden amber pour with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Doesn’t work well, like most coffee ipas. Ingredients cancel each other out. Tap at Churchkey.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fate Moira Coffee IPA on tap at BruFrou fest.
Big bold copper color with a great sweet milk coffee aroma. Lactose, coffee and then some citrusy hops. Odd but works better than some of Shiga Kogen recent coffee beers. Sweet and quaffable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap. Hazy orange. Lots of coffee in the aroma with some pine and earthy hops. Flavor has a very pleasant coffee inclusion that’s not overpowering, with slight roast/toast, some slight fruity sweet and berry like hops. Medium slick body. Odd but enjoyable.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Delicious aroma of iced coffee and a hint of oak. The coffee flavor cuts right through the hops, the fact that it's an ipa leaves a light aftertaste, making it different from a coffee stout. It looks completely different than it tastes. Like an optical illusion for your tastebuds. For me, unique is not always good when it comes to beer, but fate is killing it on this one.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Somewhere between a 2 and 4oz bottle, I think, pour at SAVOR 2015’s Saturday night session. Poured a pale golden color with a very small white head. Aroma was notes of light roast, some hay. Light herbal notes. Some bitter chocolate, light coffee roast. Bitter finish. Delicious.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Orange-golden color with white head. Light pine hop and coffee ground aroma. Light IPA hop flavors with a dry coffee ground bitterness...I feel the flavors don’t blend too well in this one.

Draft at the brewery during 2014 GABF: I’ve only had a few coffee IPAs before, but this one blew all the others away. I never thought coffee and hops could go together so well. It had a coffee-ice-cream nose with insanely good aromas of coffee, flowers and herbs. Meanwhile, a wholesome malt backbone complemented perfectly, along with a balanced hop bitterness. The beer seemed to get better and better with every sip. Incredible beer, and it was one of the highlights of the week.
