This beer is one of our lightest. The golden color comes from a blend of two row barley, soft northwestern wheat, and a touch of colored carastan malt from England. This beer is brewed in the cream style, which is meant to be brewed at 68 degrees F, then aged at colder temperatures much like German lagers. This is a traditional American style of brewing. Two types of hops make up the aroma profile. The strong floral note is due to an addition of dry hops in the fermenter as opposed to a kettle addition which is the standard method. The Golden Ale takes advantage of both styles of hopping. The body and the alcohol content are both light. The softness of the palate is due to the addition of wheat. We brew this beer during the warmer months.

Tap. Pours clear light amber-gold with a small white heat that leaves a little lacing. Aroma of malt, slight floral odor. Taste of medium sweet malt, lightly bigger finish.

Almost no aroma that i could smell, but the color was pale yellow and crystal clear. Had a slight bitter taste followed by a lit grain flavor. It was very light bodied Id say a good summer ale

Sample at the brewpub on 8/10/10. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Malty aroma with a bit of creaminess, a hint of diacetyl and some hop. Creamy malt flavor with not much else going on.

Draught at the brewery. A touch darker in color than the kolsch, with a lasting white head. Fairly lackluster aroma of tomato, corn, and bread. The flavor is completely devoid of hops and is otherwise of very bland malt, and faint cooked veggies. Light bodied and flabby. Just bland and doesnt really have any good character.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild malty. Subdued sweet malt flavoured with a light grassy and fruity hops note. Mild bitter and dry finish.

Pretty solid golden ale. Actually a decent amount of west coast hop aroma in this. Good for a golden ale, but Im still not all that impressed.
