Commercial Description:
Our Stout is a dry Irish style stout. The dark color of the beer comes from a mixture of roasted barley and chocolate malt (chocolate malt has a chocolate color, and doesn't actually have chocolate in it.) The thicker texture is from an addition of flaked, unmalted barley. Flake barley is similar to rolled oats (oatmeal.) The stout is bitter, yet in balance with all the other heavy flavors in this beer. The nitrogen gas tapping system produces the thick, creamy head. Nitrogen bubbles are smaller and do not burst as easy.

I am an old softy when it comes to stouts. This was a typical dry stout. Deep rich chocolate aroma. Tan head with an almost black body. Very easy to drink beer. If darker beers are your thing, then this one is a good try while there.

This was a pretty mild and easy-drinking stout. A lot of roasted malt flavor in it yet no astringent bitterness. Very smooth drinking like most nitrogenated brews. Not bad. (Not great either.)

Black with tan head. Burnt malt nose and flavor with espresso note. Rather thin.

OK color, look, and nose. Surprisingly wet in the mouth and fizzy, not creamy.

Tap. Solid black. Roasted and burnt malts. Rich but not thick. A balanced aroma but not a complicated flavor.
