COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is very dry with a fruity aroma. Some of the flavor compounds formed during fermentation are similar to champagne. The beer is ultra light in color and is brilliantly clear. The bitterness shows up on the palate due to the light body of the beer. Faultline Brewing Company serves it’s Kölsch year-round.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale gold with a small white head. grainy malt aroma with a touch of sulpher and some grassy, lightly spicy hops. The flavor has a nice grainy maltiness as well, which is balanced by snappy noble hops that give an almost minty flavor. Very clean character overall. Dry with a nice bitterness in the finish that is higher than I expected given the style. Light bodied and generously carbonated, though not to excess. Though there is a touch of candy sweetness form the malt, this really leans more toward hops, which is quite welcome. This makes the golden ale look really bad. Why even bother making both?

Really sweet with a strong hint of vanilla and some caramel. Quite pleasant but not enough hop strength to balance this one.
