AleDrinker (1073), Sunnyvale, California, USA Oct 30, 2007 Pours black with a tan head. Burnt malt aromas. Flavors are coffee, dry, and acidic. Full bodied, mouthfeel is sharp. Not bad. luvcasks (178), USA Feb 4, 2006 Review of Cask conditioned London Porter
Aroma: Nice aroma of roast grains and coffee notes. Vague hops in the background
Appearance: Dark-dark brown with ruby highlights, poured with a slightly tan head which lingered for a few sips
FLavor: Roasty, grainy, hints of coffee and chocolate with a nice balance of hop flavors and bitterness.
Palate: Opens with a malty roasty notes, followed by the hop flavors. Nice long finish which seems to have alittle extra grainyness as it warms up
Overall: A very good porter, a definitely worth seeking out Crit (2258), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jan 10, 2003 Black with brown head.Great roasted espresso nose.
