For lovers of strong drinkable beers, Faust Miltenberger Festbier is considered a specialty. This strong-golden, flowery malt special beer is characterized by its malty and full-bodied character, a fine floral hops with subtle honey and tobacco notes.

Poured a rich golden colour with a small off white head. Aroma of grain, earthy hops, with some hints of citrus fruits. Initial taste is crisp and simple. Yeasty, grainy, with a splash of sweet malts. Finishing slight dry, medium body and slight head retention.

Flip-top Flasche: Golden coloured, small foamy layer; sweet-malty nose with touch of herbal hops and a tinge of honey, slightly alcoholic; sweet flavour, slightly bitter, medium bodied; delicate sweet, herbal-bitter finish. Not bad, but no reason to get excited...........

Bottle. Apricot malt aroma - strikes me a a slightly glue-like, soapy off-note actually. Golden, low carbonation and head. Grainy, fruity apricot in the flavor as well - weird did they play with belgian yeast or too high fermentation temperature here? Dry, overattenuated. Very bizarre - please dont do this to me Faust - I seriously hope this was an off bottle! ADDENDUM: Second bottle was the same - what a shame :-(
