3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark, opaque orange in color with a bright white head. The aroma is intense with banana, cloves, and some residual sugars. Belgian yeast, no doubt, is front and center, contributing to a very thick, yeasty body. Itís not as dosed with banana in the flavor as it is in the aroma, but itís still potent with these characteristics. Yeast is in your face, but still pleasant. Easy on the palate, enjoyable, and yes, very yeasty but very palatable. The yeast does weigh down on the belly. Itís definitely a thick beer. A good Tripel, itís clean, completely non-offensive, with a nice flavor... just heavy. Best in small amounts.
