1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 omhper (15960) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 27, 2011
Bottled, thanks Marko! Clear pale golden, brief head. Grainy nose. Sweetish and very light bodied with clean, hard mouthfeel. Faint cereal flavour, some bread and metal in a quick finish. Everything you’d expect an industrial low alcohol lager to be. No off flavours.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 ogivlado (4444) - Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 26, 2011
Bottled 200ml. -from local Konzum supermarket. Again this stupid small bottle. Pale yellow piss coloured, minimal white head that went away within 2 seconds, stale cereals in the nose. Light acidic and stale cereals without anything else. Probably worse than Hungarian 3.0% supermarket beers. Crap.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 luttonm (962) - Belgrade, SERBIA - OCT 9, 2011
Cute .2l bottle, sent by Heavy. Thanks man! Quite pale orange-yellow pour with very light white head. Aroma is much heavier than body, lemon herb and grain. Some tart citrus and leafy, with a little bitter back end. Light and delicate finish, medicinal and wattery. Oddly refreshing, and odd all around.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 heavy (1490) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 3, 2011
0.2 l bottle. It poured pale yellow body with small head. Weaker grainy, lemony and somewhat vinous aroma. Flavor is sour to bitter, herbal hops are dominating, with some bread malt beneath. Better than nose for sure. Though pretty full for such a low ABV it had short, again bitter finish and as such it leaves watery impression. Quite strange, hopped light beer. Totally drinkable, interesting in a way, but then again better quality of ingredients should be used. I welcome experiments of this brewery, even such useless.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Marko (3115) - Split, CROATIA - SEP 26, 2011
0.2l bottle from a SuperKonzum in Zagreb. Poured a very pale golden body with enormous carbonation, haven’t seen bigger bubbles in awhile! Small crappy white head that went away fast. Dry nose... dried meat, slightly fruity. Odd, but not that bad. Oookaaay, this is actually quite bready. Smooth, watery, very light herbal note near the finish. Dry, slightly ashy/grainy. More flavor than I expected, but still far from good. Almost no aftertaste. The herbal hoppy note grows, though not in bitterness, only a light acidity develops. Ok, this is utterly useless with its "strength" & laughable 0.2l bottles, looks like shit, smells kinda strange, but manages to be drinkable, perhaps even slightly quenching. No real off flavors and that’s a huge plus. Pan’s light beer didn’t take off in Croatia, and this probably won’t either and so, it’s another redundant pale lager on the market. I can’t even get angry anymore. If only they’d experiment properly...
