1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Marko (3115) - Split, - DEC 4, 2005
0.33l can courtesy of my roommate (who’s from Pula) A regional beer (for the Istra peninsula), that is according to my roommates only popular with the construction workers there. It poured an impressive enormous thick but fluffy white head that went away fast leaving scattered lacing. Pale yellow colour. A sharp sourish dusty malt nose. The taste wasn’t nasty. I can say that. But it was bad. There was some ok fruit/honey malt, that got overwhelmed by some soft, but bad cardboardiness. Absolutely NO hops to carry the taste. I know that everyone claimed that it’s hoppy, but the only hops that might be there I could taste as some residual lemoniness in the aftertaste. Some slight alcohol could be felt. Oh, and it’s watery too. Get some hops in here, quality control the cardboard out of the taste, and this might be ok. Till then, the limited distribution area is actually a good choice.

Thanks to ogivlado for that one! Can looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, modest dry with some fruity notes of lemon, a bit moldy background. Finish still mild, modest dry, a bit washy. Okay.
