rederic (2942) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 17, 2005
Bright pale yellow hue, rocky foamy white head with good lacing, floral hops, pale malt aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with sweet pale malt, huge alcoholic warmth filling, hint of caramel and sweet corn juice, honey character in a warm alcoholic malted and short bitterness finish.

(Canned) Colden color with a smallish head. Quite fruity and sweet aroma with a hint of alcohol. Sweetish-malty, alcoholic flavor with quite low bitterness. Slicky, thick and alcoholic, warming palate with medium, smooth carbonation. The alcohol is just an inch too pronounced for the brew to be enjoyable. However, for a brew of 10% it’s hidden quite well. Not among the worst malt liquours.

Golden colour with a thin foamy white head. Fruity sweet aroma with clear alcohol notes. Brewmash, peppery taste and a strong alcohol finish.

MMMMM, Malt liquor from a can. Scored from LCBO Windsor. Golden in color. White head fades to a ring and leaves some lacing. Aroma is sweet and perhaps containing a bit of malt. Medium bodied. Throaty alcohol flavors, warms the belly. Not entirely hideous.

Bov (9509) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAR 8, 2005
clear bright golden colour, almost no foam, light aroma of apple and orange, sweet and full-bodied, long malty and slightly fruity finish with a late alcohol kick - surprisingly good for a malt liquor

Aged can (had it in my closet/fridge, back to closet, back to fridge, then over to jercraigs’ in the past 6 months). Light yellow pour, fizzy white head. Lots of alcohol in aroma. Tinny alcohol taste but not as strong as the 10% would suggest t first. But then it warms and BAM!, there’s a whole lot of alcohol here, yikes, be careful with this loaded weapon. Pretty smooth and balanced really - a cheap drunk could do worse.

Can. Golden yellow. Pours with a very nice white had that diminishes. Surprisingly decent, malty highly alcoholic aroma. Touch of straw that I didn’t put a name to until reading the other ratings. Flavour is slightly sweet and dominated by alcohol. Warming, dry alcoholic finish. Average palate. Approximately twice as good as anticipated. [Note: Managed to look very good after the Budels... ]

Great if you want to get drunk. Bad if you want to do it slowly and with tasty beer. The Alcohol dominates the beer, and the sweetness attempts to over come this but simply is unable to.

Gold in colour. Aroma of alcohol, slightly sweet with some malt. Sweet flavour with not as much alcohol as I was expecting. Finishes dry with a lingering alcohol bitterness.

All I can say is that, when I want to sit down and ’enjoy’ a good beer, this ain’t it. However, I will say that if you want something that is cheap and that will "Get you there QUICK" you’ve found it! Overall, I am suprized at how FAXE has hidden the 10% alc from the flavour. I think this beer is good to get you there quick. Quite popular in Canada of all places. But do keep one thing in mind about this brewski. Don’t let half empty cans sit for days on end. The smell of this brew as it ’decays’ is down right terrible. It nearly makes me gag! My round about thoughts on this beer? For the price and the effect, its good. But not something you want to serve your guests. If you do, they wont be driving home ;-)
