0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
I tried this beer on April 29, 2009 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent medium gold with a frothy white head. The aroma is sour grassy malt, and alcohol. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and mildy carbonated. The taste was heavy on the alcohol, and light on any real malt or hop flavours. The last 3rd I had to gulp down to avoid tasting it.

Probably the worst beer I will rate. Iím an assumed beer snob and my Budweiser friend bought a can of that crap (with a bottle of La Chouffe; he had good intentions). I usually refuse to drink those terrible commercial beers but I tasted it (I knew it would be a painful experience when I noticed in the ingredient list "glucose syrup"). It was even worst. Alchool is much too obvious, nothing refined. The aroma was so dispicable that the only thing I noticed was that a headache was coming just after smelling it. And, of course, I had a terrible headache the next day and I also puked a little in the morning. Personnal recommandation: do not even touch the can with plastic gloves, in fact, turn your head as quickly as possible and your overall quality of life will only be better. I donít have an enough powerful word to say how much I hated that.

a little bit of that overly burned and metallic faxe taste, but this is 10% and really cheap and was surprisingly easy to get down with even a degree of pleasantness

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2009 1L can... coppery brown with a lacey off-white head. Metallic malt aroma. Caramel, walnut, malty flavor leading into a woody note. Alcohol note at the end, which gets stronger and overpowers as the drink is consumed. Medium-light body.

Monster can. Golden, mid-sized, slowly diminishing white head. Sweetish-grainy, a bit corny and almondy, too, aroma. Moderate sweet-bitter flavour, astonishingly only medium bodied. Corny-bitter finish with a warming influence. Not too bad..........

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2009 500mL can from the LCBO, for a camping trip. Well, what can you say really about something like this. It is what it is, and it serves itís purpose. Thereís moments where it teases you with a scent and flavour vaguely reminiscint of actual malts, but then of course the horrible corn and fuel alcohol flavours kick in. To say thereís hop notes in here would mean that youíve had a few too many already. Good around a camp fire though.

Typical Faxe big can (1000ml). -as Faxe Extra Strong 10% on gas station near Frankfurt.
The taste is just like I’ve expected, sweet malty, faint hoppy and strong alcoholic with metallic notes. Also sharp alcoholic finish. One-dimensional, but what to expect from Faxe.

Incredible 1L can, Dark blond to light amber coloured beer with average carbonation and a small white head. Strong malted alcoholic aroma. Full creamy palate. Finish is wharming alcoholic strong, light roasted and malty touched with a longer light bitter finish. Stonrg but not that bad.
