UPDATED: MAY 12, 2005 Re-rate May 2005 Dark brown body is ruby in the light. Big billowy beige head. Dry nutty aroma, Very mild roast malt, raisin. Dry alcoholic flavour with just a touch of malt, vague hint of raisin and dry cocoa. Alcohol is distractingly prominent. Average palate. 5/4/5/3/10 <P> Jan 2001 More of an alcohol bite than the Holsten had... less sweet and smooth as well. Not a bad beer but I would buy the Holsten before this. 4/3/5/3/10

the cheapest imported beer i've ever bought but not the worst. quite dark with some metal that is overwhelmed by fish sauce. had more character than expected

Can. Dark brown body with a light brown medium head. Malty aroma with light tobacco notes. Soft palate. Sweet malty bit alcoholic taste but with some tobacco and smoke notes. I was surprised by this one.

Clear bronze brown color with a fluffy light tan head. Sweet caramel mixed with a american standard aroma. Somewhat thin and fizzy. Initial caramel and malt flavors are quite enjoyable, they unfortunately are replaced by a saccharine sweetness. Finish has a small alcohol bite and later a decent light toasted malt linger. This is one of those roller coaster beer. Good this, not so good that. Thanks slikwily.

Can (500ml). Poured deep brown with an average cratered light brown head. Roast malt, some raisin, touch of hops and moss - better than I expect from the "get me drunk fast" specialists. Taste is sweet mild roast malt and grape juice, not much hops but the linger is a bit bitter - the alcohol is very well behaved. Pretty light bodied and somewhat carbonated. Decent but not exciting - easy to drink, though.

/,7 % alcohol, but the alcohol is not unpleasent present, only a bit warming. A nice clear tasting and strong beer.
