2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 wimpyjoe (448) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2012
Leans a bit more towards the Polish style of beer-making than Dutch, still drinkable.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Astaldo (7) - Bremen, GERMANY - MAY 21, 2012 does not count
Orange colour, the white head disappeared fast. Aroma of malt and hops, medium bitterness. Not very pleasant.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Panzerfaust (509) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - MAY 19, 2012
500 ml can from Jumbo, Valparaiso. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head that diminishes slowly. Malty aroma of grains and honey with a slight fruity touch. Hints of corn syrup and metal detract from the initial impression. Hops are barely perceptible in a grassy trace. Taste is very soft and tends to the sweeter side. In this it’s closer to Carlsberg and Tuborg than other euro-lagers like Stella Artois, Heineken, Grolsch and the like. Light bodied, watery finish and nothing special. Just like I expected.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 EithCubes (3340) - GERMANY - MAY 19, 2012
Comically, comically large 1,0L can by 31.07.13. Sweet and lightly grassy nose, sickly golden body with a quickly-vanishing white head. Sweet taste, grass with a touch of corn in the bg. Soft light-medium body, not dirty, and honestly, not bad.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Lagerboy (419) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 18, 2012
Clear yellow, small foamy white head fades. Fruity grainy grassy aroma. Sweet malty taste, almost boozy. Faint fruity hoppy bitterness. Grassy, grainy and metalic. Average carbonation, light -medium body, low - moderately hopped. Light bitter finish. Relatively inoffensive. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Lowenbrau (350) - SPAIN - MAY 18, 2012
500ml can. Correct lager, but nothing remarkable. Pours pale gold, clear, nice white head, vanishing, some malt and bitter flavours.
2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2012
From BA (Oct 2007): One litre can, best before 24 June 2009.
Poured four times into my Veltins pilsner glass.
It is a clear deep golden yellow with a good white head.
Like all lagers/pilsners it doesn’t have a big nose.
It could almost be a Dort or a good German Export Pilsner, it has a good solid body and tastes clean, with a hop and yeast feel. It is certainly better than a lot of other lagers out there.
Overall an ideal beer for quenching your thirst, but not a world beater in excitment or inovational brewing.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 edpeg (504) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 8, 2012
1 l can. "Faxe Premium Danish Laber Beer". Pours golden yellow clear body with white rocky head which disappears quickly. Aromas include floral hops, malts, grains and some grass. Palate is thin watery with flat soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Taste is light, grassy, sweetish malty with medium short herbal hops dry end. Rather a straightforward lager with nothing special but balanced enough and drinkable. The hoppiness is a bit too weak maybe, could be more hoppy.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Marduk (393) - ESTONIA - APR 24, 2012
0,5l can. Clear golden color. Small, thin head. Grainy aroma. Sweet malty taste, slight bitter aftertaste.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 pintbypint (1610) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 20, 2012
500ml can. Clear gold pour, short white creamy head, a few spots of lace. Grainy nose, a bit of straw or grass. Taste has light sweetness and a lot of grain, light grass hop notes. Low bitterness, some grass and grains in the aftertaste. Light body and ample carbonation. Undemanding dryish lager, a bit more enjoyable than domestic swill but overall nothing special. Used to enjoy this in 1L cans in my early beer drinking days in Ontario, found it much more enjoyable then.
