High spirited & hoppy, Loki Red Ale is brewed with a generous helping of Tomahawk & Galena hops and a distinct brown malt background which provides a great complexity of taste

Great beer. Comes in a "tall" can, which makes it a good bargain. Seriously, any beer that is inspired by Viking folklore is automatically a winner.

Poured from tallboy to glass. Amber red hue with creamy tan head that lingered. Aroma is caramel, cereal, toffee, bread, spice hops. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with a nice bitterness in the following. Overall this is a nice brew.

473ml can pours a slightly hazy amber color with a 2 finger light beige head that retains quite well and reveals some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and herbs with some roasted notes. Taste is a bold herbal and citrus hop bitterness with an underlying grainy and caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with nice carbonation that tickles the palate nicely. A very nice red ale with a higher ABV with a well balanced nature. Recommended.

Pours amber minimal head. Smell caramel, smells like a lite barleywine Taste is huge caramel and toffee. Fuller bodied. This is a lot like a barleywine but the alcohol isn’t there

Can:   Deep amber, deep reddish hues, moderate foamy sandy head, nice lacing.   Soft pith and pine on the nose.   Semi-sweet biscuity like malts up front, followed by a bit of spicy hops.   Not too bitter.   Grapefruit and pith on the backside, both semi-sweet and a touch astringent.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Finishes with some pine and pith, but not too strong.   Not all that bad, but not exciting either.   Fairly pedestrian overall.   Clean finish.
