Holy iced tea batman! Underattenuated sweetened iced tea with a touch of mild hopping.

It isnt perfect. It needs a slight tweak to make it great. I would increase hops, use more crystal malt and give it some character. Its a safe move, scared beer that doesnt want to offend and give it a chance for more people to like it, but by taking the safe bland, nothing special route, they sabatoged their beer. If this is in fact what they were going for its not for me. It is well crafted, clear, good color, but the main substance- taste and smell is lacking. Eh

22oz bottle, purchased at Liquor Barn. As mentioned regarding their Honey Ale, these aren’t particularly bad or painful beers, but they aren’t very good either. Pours a clear, deep-golden color; thin off-white head with patchy lacing. Basic notes of honeyed maltiness, simple sugar, and a whiff of cereal grains; bland and not particularly dissimilar from the Honey Ale. Medium body; medium-high carbonation. Modest amounts of cereal and honeyed maltiness; on the sweet side, with nothing beyond a whisper of mineral and citrus hops; reasonable texture in the mouth, and a modest acidity and citrus note keeping things afloat, but not much here beyond that bland core sweetness and a hint of honey. Drinks like a beer with training wheels attached. Medium-length finish: cereal, light citrus.

22 ounce bottle purchased at Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. Metallic, grassy, earthy astringent aroma. Fruity, faint, and musty. Not a pleasure to smell. Transparent golden body with a small, quickly dissipating whitish head. Starts sweet, malty, and somewhat astringent. Vegetal notes are also there, and this is is lacking body. It also lacks hops. This is most reminiscent of wort--sweet, underattenuated mess that lacks any hops.

Thanks Hayduke. 22 oz. bottle. Pour is clear golden with active carbonation. A gold tinted head is noisy but still has good retention. That carbonation keeps the head to the end. Nose is floral and grainy. Flavor begins with caramel but is somehow artificial. Soft fruit and faint floral hops with some yeast. As the beer warms some unripened orange notes appear. Low ABV which is a plus. This beer is odd and a bit quirky and it will never be considered a would class beer. But it would make a nice summertime quaff.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hayduke (2531) - Eureka, California, USA - FEB 20, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2010 From a 22 oz bottle this poured a clear gold with a medium sized white head and light lacing. Nose of caramel malts and floral hops. Light to medium body and smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is mild with malts and hops, and the finish is light and slightly bitter, but there is an odd lingering taste. Nothing fancy here, but drinkable.

Bomber poured a clear gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of biscuit, light fruittiness and light carmel. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of biscuit, honey, light carmel and light fruittiness with a crisp lightly fruity finish.

Amber color with no head. Aspidites is right. This one is more or less iced tea with a light hop presence. I also got a little metallic/plasticy weirdness. Sounds like this one used to be a lot better.

Bomber. Aroma of caramel malt and floral hop. Light amber color with a white head that flattened. Near medium body with sharpish carbonation. The flavor is caramel with floral hop. The finish is thinnish malt with some hop building for balance. For some reason it got a bit watery at the end.

(22 oz bottle: $3.29 at Liquor Barn in Redding, CA) I had a small sample of this courtesy of a friend while camping a few months back and thought it was pretty bad, even for a camping trip, so I’m not looking forward to doing a "real" rating on this beer. Cheap, sweet honey sits in for the normal caramel with poor results, though the beer seems to become more vaguely caramely as it warms up. Mild bitterness for balance, but the perfumy flavor is unpleasant, and the "plastic" aftertaste is worse. Perfumy, flowery nose isn’t encouraging me to keep drinking either. Light-medium body, well-carbonated. Bright orange-amber color and nearly crystal clear. Bubbly, light tan head shows below average retention, fading to a ring very quickly. Unpleasant, cheap-tasting, nope, this isn’t even suitable for camping.
