3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark copper with an off-white lasting, fizzy, sticky, lacy head. Smells of fruity berry, nut, slightly musky, alcohol and caramel. Some light citrus oranges. Medium thin watery frothy body with soft carbonation. Deep taste of sweet malt, caramel and some cinnamon, some roast with a slight dry grass finish. Some fruity and herbal notes to a surprisingly drinkable beer.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
December 2006: Oh dear, bought at the ’Duty paid’ store inside the french end of the euro-tunnel, still got 5 of the 25 cl bottle 6 pack left. My son is getting an extra Christmas present!
Looked OK, poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru glass, amber and bright, sadly it goes down hill from now on.
A wheat, maize, sort of aroma, but nothing much at all.
A slight spicy taste, cinammon flavours maybe, if I am being kind.
No mouthfeel to write about and greatly unimpressed, even for the cheapness, it is a poor Christmas beer.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Een 25 cl fles, genaamd Feestdagenbier van de Aldi, 5,9% alc. De kleur is bruin en helder, wit/beige schuimkraag. Ruikt een beetje raar, grassig/zoet. Smaakt zoet, caramel, ijzerachtig.

Thanks bierkoning! Rated as "Feestdagen Bier". Clear copper color, steady off-white head. Cardboardish, light sweet nutty aroma. Light bodied, oily and watery palate. Caramel, a bit malty, cardboardish, low bitterness. Light alcohol too. Harmless but boring.
