3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. This was a weird beer, I can’t imagine this tasted how the brewer really intended. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it. Pours hazy golden orange with a big off white head. Light flowery and fruity hops, pale and bready malts, some light rustic yeasty and earthy notes, and a floral finish. Odd, I don’t think the weird, almost saison-esque (but not really) yeasty notes are intentional, and the hop profile kind of tows the line between american and english pale ales. But it was well balanced all around and really quite drinkable. I wish a had another bottle to stick on the fridge for a couple months, because I bet whatever the hell yeast got into this to make it so interesting now is gonna make it pretty awful in due course.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy golden-orange body, solid white head, spotty lacing. Light citric and grassy hops, light cracker and bread. Flavor is pleasant and simple, with a similar profile to the nose. Light to medium bodied, moderate carbonation, a little thin, light bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy apricot color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that faded fairly quickly and left great lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy sugar, honey, pineapple, lemon and grapefruit. The flavor was sweet and tangy sugar, pineapple, grapefruit, bread and a hint of pepper. Long sweet pineapple and grapefruit finish. Medium body. Excellent!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
OK, pours like a fine belgian ale that Iknow. In a 22 oz mug this 12 oz bottle fills it with a big massive rocky head. Smells like a very mild ipa. First taste is interesting and unique. Mind you, I don’t like rudely hoppy apa but this stuff has an funn attitude about it. Good fine sizzle is not quite above average yet it is pleasant. I’m gonna say this is one of the better apa I’ve encountered. Yes, has many of the attributes I find acceptable in a better belgian ale. Yes, right up at there at the top of my apa list, but not as good as indigo jester because that stuff is a little sour and wild.

Bottle. Golden pour with some white head. Aroma is of off flavors and alight pilsner like tones. Corn, vegetal, lead and wood tones, plenty of wrong tones.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Super hazy golden coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of pale malt, some lighter grassy and herbal hops and a bit of cardboard. Light-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hop notes with a pungent and slightly bitter malt flavour, some light cardboard, lemons and a tiny bit of spices. Aftertaste is potent in the grassy and herbal notes with little else - some pungent and funky cardboardie malt notes with some alcohol coming out and not much else. Overall, a rather strong and herbal/grassy APA with some nice notes and some rather mundane ones. Not really worth searching out for, but if you can find it and like the style, try it. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-April-2012 for US$2.25 on 06-November-2012 the day that President Obama was re-elected, sampled here in Washington.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, pours lightly hazy yellow-golden with a huge, rocky bright white head. Nose is dry and resinous hops, biggest grapefruit with some rind. Taste is bone dry and extremely bitter at first, bitterer than their much bigger (imperialized) pale ale, but that levels off. Leafy green hops and some pith, but the resins are absent. Medium body is too airy and yeasty, reminds me more of a fluffy Belgian pale ale. Crisp with a little spice and has a good all-around flavor. Cheers!
