On tap at Capones. Dark black pour, thin tan colored head. Aromas are very chocolatey, with creamy vanilla oak. Taste is sublime....so much vanilla, bourbon, smoked oak, cocoa. This beer taste like a "coke float", coke out of the glass bottle mixed with vanilla ice cream. Lacing is occasional and spotty. Best beer I have ever had from Fegleys, and one of the best imperial stouts I have had the pleasure of trying.

DocLock (7876) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2011
750 cc from Capone’s. Pours thck oily onyx with minimal off-khaki head and spare lacing. Nose is rich woody bourbon, cacao, chocolate malt. Tastes rich, complex, very spirity, with a huge chocolate malt bill, some cacao, and some peaty and scotch whiskey notes late. Hops too. This one is very good, and would go great with a Fuente Maduro Churchill and a wedge od aged extra sharp Vermont cheddar, but only the orange kind.

Opaque black with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, vanilla, smoke, charred wood, and light bourbon alcohol. Taste of roast, dark chocolate, some light dark fruits, vanilla, wood, and a faint bourbon finish.
