Bottle courtesy of watson1977, cheers! POurs jet black w/ fizzy tan head, rich creamy bourbon aroma, wonderful, malty rich body without weighing too heavily on the palate, very light roast with just a touch of bourbon on finish, nice to have an impy stout with some restraint, really enjoyed this one, thanks Kerry

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is big bourbon barrel notes. Coconut, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, and alcohol. The flavor is chocolate, vanilla, caramel. Much bigger body then I would have thought, based off of the aroma. Rich and warming.

Light bourbon notes and some milk chocolate in first bite. Pours black with OK head and lacing. Finishes with some sweetness and booze. Tap at devils den.

Pours opaque ink-black with a small, thin dark tan head. Aromas of charred wood, coffee, and maybe a touch of caramel. Full body, with a mild thickness. Flavor of bourbon and vanilla up front, giving way to coffee. There is a woody note at the back, along with some bourbon and a touch of citrusy hop bitterness to lighten it a touch.

Bottle as shown. Pours a dark brown with beige head that lasts. The aroma is a strong roast, oak, booze, smoke, and chocolate. Medium mouthfeel with sweet roasted malt, dark chocolate, with nice sweet finish. Good

It’s hard to do a bourbon barrel aged stout poorly. Aroma was perfect. Strong vanilla, oak and bourbon. Pour was a deep dark brown with a thin tan ring for a head. Taste was just a tad thin, but still fantastic. Vanilla, milk chocolate and bourbon. Sweet and delectable. Tastes like a good desert. Very mild carbonation.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Hot chocolate, vanilla and oak aromas. Dry with sour chocolate, hot pit fruit and molasses. Lasting oak and bourbon burn.

Has a very rich flavor with good use of BBL aging. Slightly smokey but no burnt qualities. Medium-full body. Excellent balance. Given no expectations, a pleasant surprise.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy beige head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is bourbon, oak, dates, figs, roast and chocolate malt with prunes and earthy hops. Flavor is dark malt and fruits, bourbon, oak, vanilla, light hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Pour start brown with decent head and caramel colored place in. Distinct notes of alcohol on the head, as well as chocolate. The bourbon barrels impart strong notes of alcohol, bourbon, and vanilla, transforming Insidious into a great barrel-aged stout.
