4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized foamy orange-brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon and bread. The flavor was sweet sugar, caramel, bread, strong nutmeg, moderate cinnamon and clove and reminded me overall of pecan pie filling. Long sweet sugar and caramel finish with lingering nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours dark copper and red with a small orangey/beige head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, with some apple pie and graham cracker. The flavor is cinnamon, nutmeg, apple and pumpkin, and alcohol. Burnt caramel and toffee, as well as brown sugar, dominate the finish. Mild carbonation, warming. Gneiss.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
thanks to Owen for the beer
Orange red color with an off white persistent heard that finally turned to a ringed collar.
Spice forward nose. Pumpkin spices with vanilla, all spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Slight notes of booze in the nose.
Spices with some some pumpkin the the taste and body. Does get more booze forward as drink on. Solid spice driven feel. One dimensional but good for the style. Probably better with age.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
OK, so waht, this is 4 months past its prime, big ass deal, its 9%. Any beer with such a high % has to age nicely or its not a good beer, there ya have it. So, its a punkin and its high alky so I’m not expecting much. In my harley mug (from iceland) it smells sweet but not cloying...yet. Brownish color with lots of visible co2, does not look viscous like so many high alky brews. Sweet but not appreciative pumpkin flavors and spice, a little bit of heat going down the gullet. That bottle has absolutely npo sediment. Clear and iced tea incolor. Darker iced tea. Yes, each swig is big nasty sweet high alky pumky thing. Not sure if its really punkin or if its pumpkin spice. Finish is nasty cough medicine. Typical imperial pumpkin beer. What is so attractive about these high alky beers, I’ll never know, I’m mean no.

On tap at Capone’s Restaurant. Amber coloured body with a little head; a lace sheet. Very pumpkiny. Spice up front, including lots of salt and coriander.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
No bottling information.
Appearance: The body is a very interesting color, it’s an ugly opaque mix of mahogany and orange that just doesn’t look appealing. There is almost no head and the head has poor retention and dissipates in just a thin tan ring.
Aroma: Aromas of pumpkin, ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon with some graham cracker crust hints. As the beer warms up I pick up some fruity hints, interesting.
Taste: This is rich with strong flavors of malt sweetness with pumpkin, various spices, graham cracker crust, and there’s some dark fruits on the finish.
Palate: Thick and somewhat syrupy, light carbonation.
Overall: This is okay, but by now I’m rather sick of pumpkin beers. This doesn’t stand out and is pricey compared to other offerings.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Nose dominated by pumpkin spice, cinnamon and vanilla on the low end. Bright but lightly hazy blood red body with a lining of orange and a quickly-gone tan head. Crisp taste with a little yeast and medium bitterness (wha?), weak slippery malt and hot booze, spices are intense but separated from the main. Medium body, lighter allspice and nutmeg, way way too much clove, and I’ll pass.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Soft yet sweet spicy; Flava is rich and sweet with pumpkin and spice notes; feels medium-full with some fizz zinginess; or is that my buzz kickin in?; finish is long Nd sweet with nots of alcohol; appear deep amber with rimming off-white head.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Had fresh from bottle. Relatively pleasing aroma and appearance, but this beer has way too much clove flavor, which also seems to conflict with the flavor of the hops. This is one of the worst Imperial Pumpkins I’ve tasted, which is disappointing, as Fegley’s has some good brews.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This poured a darker orange to red color with a beige head. Aroma was of caramel, lots of clove, and toasted malt. Flavor had way too much clove, light beer notes in the back. Not much of a true pumpkin beer at all.
