Location: 750 ml bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 9/29/10
Aroma: The nose has a good amount of spice: nutmeg, pumpkin, ginger, and some clove
Appearance: It pours a hazy brownish-orange color with a creamy tan head atop it
Flavor: The flavor is pretty spicy as well, yeasty, a nice, fairly typical pumpkin flavor
Palate: This medium bodied beer has a pretty smooth feel to go along with the long spicy duration
I would say that this one is a pretty good pumpkin beer. It isn’t the best one I’ve ever had, but I did enjoy drinking it. I’m a big fan of this style, so I tend to score them higher then others do, but I score them based on my taste, and I like them a lot. The flavor was pretty good, the booze was decently well-hidden, and the quality is there. Enjoyable stuff.

Pours a deep amber color, like an Iced Tea, with a thick off white foamy head. Aroma hits you when you open the bottle, Spicy clove and pumpkin. Tastes like liquid pumpkin pie. Not a Pumpkin Ale fan but, this isn’t bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Full disclosure: I am not a fan of pumpkin beers....and this one did not change my mind. Pours a beautiful amber with the aroma of spices and nutmeg. Not overly spiced which was a pleasant surprise...but the lack of of spices allowed the alcohol punch to shine through without an offsetting balance. Overall: Good; not great

Bottle. Light pumpkin spice aroma. amber body with thin lasting head.... Flavor is more candied then typical pumpkin beers. Very subtle pumpkin spice flavor. A nice change from typical pumpkin beers, but could use a little bit more flavor

The beer pours a solid amber color with a bubbly head. The aroma is a nice subtle blend of pumpkin and spices. The flavor comes in smoothly with malts, pumpkin with some sweet notes, and the spices you get in a slice of pumpkin pie. The body is very carbonated, especially bubbly after drinking a Pumking.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours nice golden amber colour with little to no head or lacing. Smells like one of those country gift shops, spices including cinnamon, pumpkin, this is a string aroma. Very malty taste, with strong spicy pumpkin after note. I’m not a fan of flavored beer, but this is pretty good.

Very nice pumpkin beer! It gets better as it warms, though. The flavors started to stand out a lot more. The beer pours a dark amber color with a brown and orange hue. The nose has plenty of pumpkin notes, along with some cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg. Those same qualities show through in the flavors as well. The finish is almost like drinking a freshly baked pumpkin pie. The high alcohol content is very well-hidden in this beer, too. I’m definitely going to have to buy up some bottles to have on hand for Halloween and, especially, Thanksgiving. Can’t wait to pair this beer with a slice of real freshly baked pumpkin pie!

Enjoyed this pumpkin ale a lot, most pumpkin ales don't have enough pumpkin flavor in them but this one did, lots of pumpkin everywhere, in the aroma, in the flavors & the aftertaste, lots of different spices present as well, like nutmeg & cinnamon, amber in color with a nice off-white head, and just like the description says this beer does taste like a pumpkin pie in a glass, wonderful seasonal beer

Deep copper in color with a tan head. A strong pumpkin flavor with underlying spices. Still, less strong in the pumpkin flavor than some others I have tried, and not too weak either. A nice balance, but certainly holding a strong alcohol content.

On tap from a recent batch. Best pupkin ale that I have yet tasted. The spices are much more reserved, but the pumpkin flavor is distinct. The ale itself is smooth and not watered down tasting either.

750ml Bottle and Draught at Capone’s: Aroma of pumpkin, slight spice, and slight nutmeg. Poured ORANGE in color with a small, off-white head that lasted around the edges only. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of pumpkin, malt, astringent, slight spice, and a cloying maltiness at the end. Medium body. Average carbonation. Slightly dry, cloying texture. Pumpkin, spice, and malt finish is lightly dry and strangely malty. Something is off on the flavor. 9%ABV is completely hidden throughout.
