Poured a dark orange/amber with no head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices with a mingling of hops. Very smooth on the tongue with an explosion of sweet pumpkin and spicy cloves and nutmeg. Extremely refreshing and a damned tasty imperial pumpkin!

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2013 Draft at Khyber Pass. Clear coppery pour. Rotted pumpkin. Watery. Not a big fan of pumpkin beer at all but this one is not working for me at all.

On tap sampler, Unos. Brilliant fall spice notes of cinnamon nutmeg ginger over toaster malts and clean hops. A clear crisp copper asker with a hint of apple on the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ar: Cinnamon, clove, and sweet caramel - a bit of mint, too.
Ap: Clear orange with a small off-white head with moderate retention - ring of sudsy foam remains.
T: Lots of spicy cinnamon and clove up front, moderate sweetness - deep toasted malt and roasted caramels - spicy clean alcohol, with moderate warming sensation - low bitterness, with some moss and spice - finish is lingering clove.
P: Medium-full body with high carbonation - finish is medium-dry.
O: This big pumpkin ale is nicely spiced, definitely favoring the clove - the deep, full, and rich malty notes (rather than a simple caramel character) really shine - very good!

Pours a hazy brownish orange color from a 12oz. bottle. There was a very slight of whitish head that quickly dissapated. Aroma smells just like pumpkin pie. Taste is similar to pumpkin pie with a sweet and pumpkin pie flavor. You can taste the alcohol in this brew at the end where it gives you a little warmth. Overall this is one of the best imperial pumpkin ales I’ve had. Personally I like the alcohol taste of these bigger beers at the end and the pumkin pie flavor up front is very nice if that’s your thing. I would definitely recommend this beer to fans of imperial pumpkin ales.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized foamy orange-brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon and bread. The flavor was sweet sugar, caramel, bread, strong nutmeg, moderate cinnamon and clove and reminded me overall of pecan pie filling. Long sweet sugar and caramel finish with lingering nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

Bottle. Pours dark copper and red with a small orangey/beige head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, with some apple pie and graham cracker. The flavor is cinnamon, nutmeg, apple and pumpkin, and alcohol. Burnt caramel and toffee, as well as brown sugar, dominate the finish. Mild carbonation, warming. Gneiss.
