COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppiest Brew Works beer ever? The smell of grapefruit, a sweet malt flavor, and oh by the way, lots of hop bitterness. Brewed in the tradition of West Coast ales, we have put loads of malt and hops in our kettle to come up with this sensational ale. Brewed with pale, and crystal malts, hopped with Tomahawks for Yakima Valley, WA. This beer styled has made many a microbrewery famous and this one is sure to please all those who love hops.

12oz bottle from jtclockwork, thanks James! Pours a cloudy golden colored body with a two finger-width, dense and foamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is big grapefruits up front with a bit of a lemon-peel, a light earth, and a lightly spiced pine. Somewhat bready pale malts with a light caramel and crystal malt sweetness. Flavor is chewy crystal malts and big grapefruit citruses up front with an earthy, spiced pine throughout. Somewhat bready malts with a light caramel sweetness and a touch of toast before this finishes dry, leafy and resiny, earthy, and moderately bitter with a good amount of sweet grapefruits. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a decent IPA. Fairly bitter with lots of grapefruit and a distinct crystal malt backing.

Clear copper pour, thin bubbly head with striped lacing .... Aroma of caramel malts and subtle lemony grapefruity hops ... Taste is of caramel malts and mild grapefruit and lemony hops with a bitter dry hopped and malty backbone that lingered for a bit ... Abv hidden well ... Simple and tasty ipa

12 ounce bottle from Oak Tree Liquors. Pours a pale amber color with a thin foamy tan head. Average head retention. Aroma of huge, fresh citrus and the faintest bit of caramel. The taste is bitter citrus hops, almost pithy. Grapefruit and lemon. Faint caramel malts. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, lingering bitterness. I’m not sure how a beer can be one-note but also interesting but this one does it.

Copper ale with minimal head. Malt with grains and a hint of floral. Malt blends well with the hops. Thin body with short sweet finish.

My favorite from the sampler - bright, full of citrus hops, sweet orange and tangerine, and some lovely grapefruit bitterness. Really drinkable - I’d love another one!

Hazy copper coloured body with a nice thickish off-white coloured head about two centimetres tall. Aroma of fresh resiny and piney hops, a lot of alcohol, a good malt scent and a bit of niagara (non-vinifera) grapes noticeable at the tail end. Medium-bodied; Chewy hop flavour at first with a great sweet grapey and pear flavour that is super strong - you can’t miss it. Aftertaste shows a nice malt backbone with a strong alcohol flavour all taken over by a great and smooth hop bitterness that really shows resiny and piney bites. Overall, a nice and sweet, but still equally as hoppy, beer - definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-April-2012 for US$2.25 sampled at home in Washington on 10-July-2012.

Pours an amber with a thick lacy head. Malt forward in aroma, hops present but not shining. Taste follows, not a bad beer but not a great ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep golden. Large rocky head, short retention, ample lacing left behind. Aroma of caramelized orange, grapefruit, honey. Medium bodied. Sweet underneath, with very impressive fresh citrus fruit flavors. Slight saltiness on the moderately bitter finish. Not quite a hop explosion, but balanced and drinkable.

Bottle. Gold with an off white head. Flowery hops, with lighter piney notes on a moderately sweet malty base. Not quite as hoppy as it could be, but still a solid IPA.

Balanced drinkable IPA. Rich copper colour with creamy head. Easy drinking, almost a session beer!
