3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft pint at Anthony’s in Harrisburg. Clear golden with a small head Nose is resin, grain and light citrus. Flavor is the same muddled mix with not much standing out. The beer I had under this name was now by Allentown brew works and was listed as 6 to 7% abv; certainly it was not an Imperial IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beautifully clear amber pour with a white head that leaves an entire glass full of sticky lacing rings. Big grapefruit aroma with a pine kick. Taste is wonderfully bitter. A lot of citrus hops, backed up by smooth amber malt backbone. Mouthfeel was solid but a little over carbonated. Very impressed by this beer. If Joe Sixpack wants to compare Hopsolutely to Pliny the Elder, it’s a wonder he hasn’t compared this beer to either SN Celebration or Nugget Nectar.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Reviewed from notes.
Pours a light orange-ish color with a nice white head and a pretty decent amount of lace rings as it goes down my glass. Nose brings a really nice amount of citrus hops with orange and grapefruit zest coming to mind. A bit of floral hops as well. Taste brings in a tiny bit of slightly-sweet pale malt, but mostly there’s some hop bitterness and some citrus flavor. Feel is somewhat light with a good bitterness and nice carbonation. Drinks quite well; a good first experience with Allentown.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler filled at the Allentown Brew Works. Pours a clear golden amber with a moderate linen white head that lasted until mid-glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of malt along with some resinous pine and grapefruit. The flavor is malt up front followed by a wash of pine and grapefruit that is both fruit and pith. Moderate-strong bitterness at the finish lingers for about thirty seconds beyond the swallow. Alcohol is well hidden. Very solid.
