COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppiest Brew Works beer ever? The smell of grapefruit, a sweet malt flavor, and oh by the way, lots of hop bitterness. Brewed in the tradition of West Coast ales, we have put loads of malt and hops in our kettle to come up with this sensational ale. Brewed with pale, and crystal malts, hopped with Tomahawks for Yakima Valley, WA. This beer styled has made many a microbrewery famous and this one is sure to please all those who love hops.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Amber colour with brief, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grapefruit, orange peel, hints of pine needles and crystal malt. Hoppy, slightly fruity taste with notes of grapefruit, pine needles, crystal malt and a dry finish with a fresh, hoppy bitterness. Slightly more than medium body, quite dry. Very nice and highly drinkable. (As some of the raters before me have pointed out, the abv is 7.0%, which is also stated on the brewery’s website. Could this be a new version?)

On tap at ABW. Like the reviewer below, this was an Allentown beer at 7%. Perhaps a different beer under the same name? It pours a very clear golden color with a nice creamy white head. Good lacing. The aroma has lots of West Coast style citrusy hops and hints of grass. The flavor is nicely balanced with a good malt character and potent citrusy hops. Pretty dry with hardly a hint of caramel malt if any. Lacks the hop bite of some of the top IPA’s, but still well above average. A nice surprise.

Draft pint at Anthony’s in Harrisburg. Clear golden with a small head Nose is resin, grain and light citrus. Flavor is the same muddled mix with not much standing out. The beer I had under this name was now by Allentown brew works and was listed as 6 to 7% abv; certainly it was not an Imperial IPA.

Draught @ Akkurat, Stockholm. Rated @ 23.5.2011.
Pours a clear copper colour with a small, white head. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and some mild spices. Flavour of sweet tropical fruits, citrus, hops and some malts. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel and a fruity, bitter finish. Tasty.

Beautifully clear amber pour with a white head that leaves an entire glass full of sticky lacing rings. Big grapefruit aroma with a pine kick. Taste is wonderfully bitter. A lot of citrus hops, backed up by smooth amber malt backbone. Mouthfeel was solid but a little over carbonated. Very impressed by this beer. If Joe Sixpack wants to compare Hopsolutely to Pliny the Elder, it’s a wonder he hasn’t compared this beer to either SN Celebration or Nugget Nectar.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a light orange-ish color with a nice white head and a pretty decent amount of lace rings as it goes down my glass. Nose brings a really nice amount of citrus hops with orange and grapefruit zest coming to mind. A bit of floral hops as well. Taste brings in a tiny bit of slightly-sweet pale malt, but mostly there’s some hop bitterness and some citrus flavor. Feel is somewhat light with a good bitterness and nice carbonation. Drinks quite well; a good first experience with Allentown. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-15-2010

Caramel and biscuit nose, some ice tea, maybe a touch of citrus hops. Sweet caramel and toffee taste, some grapefruit, some dark fruit. This is an IPA?
