3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Distinct citrus hop aroma with a little bit of malt. Flavor is rather balanced for a 12% monster - plenty of malt to compete with the hops. Finishes with more bitterness than you’d expect from the flavor, but this is a very drinkable IIPA.

Red, brown color. Lots of hops, caramel, sweet but not bitter. Alcohol is well hidden. Dangerous beer

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy tang colored, hop silk head. Somewhat amorphous hop nose. This one has aged in the bottle at least 2 yrs. Assertive citrus bouquet spraying orange-kissed notes. Citrusy body, definitely taste, and then smell some fusels. Hefty and a bit too heavy-handed for my liking, while lacking less assertive, but more interesting nuances.

Not sure why there’s so many low ratings. Sure there’s definitely better ipas on the market but this is by no means an indecent beer. Pours a great color with a nice head. The aroma smells really sweet with some citrus to it. Taste is pretty sweet but it goes well with the rest of the flavors. Citrus, caramel, and a bit of a hop bite at the end. Overall well rounded brew just a touch too sweet. Cheers

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at The House of 1000 Beers. Pours a nice clear golden color with a small head that doesn’t last long and leaves no lacing. Flavor is a nice balance of hops and malt with a slightly bitter aftertaste and a little alcohol burn. Not hoppy enough for a Hop Head like me but overall a pretty good IPA.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Beer smells like a malty syrup. Not pleasant for an iPA. I can immediatly tell that this will be less fruity hoppy and more malt bomb ipa. Flavor is malty sweet, thick, and harshly bitter. Strong hop bitterness crushes the palate and is muddled with a strange malty body. Lacking the citrusy fruit hops I enjoy.

Lovely, plenty of resinous hops. A bit more harsh than some of the others in my sampler, but a bold use of hops - especially on the east coast!

Looks just fine coming out of the bottle, golden with a frothy head and some decent lacing. Smells at first of pine citrus, sweet bread and a bit of booze but as it warms the booze becomes more prominant. LIke a hoppy Sherry almost after about 10 minutes.
Taste is sweeter and boozier than any other Strong IPA I’ve ever had. Not bad but not what I wa slooking for. The hops are there but subdued by the Sherry Booziness and sweet bready flavors. Mouthfeel was just fine, medium body and nicely carbonated. Overall, this is not what I want in a Double/Imp IPA. Too much booze and sweetness, not enough stiicky pine, floural tastes or aroma’s and no balence to it just too much going on. I would NOT buy this again

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a snifter; G-d help me if I bought a 7fidy... Pours a very pretty orange hue. Moderate fizzy head but little lacing, that which does appear sticks to the surface of the liquid. Aroma of pine-Sol, booze and skunky hops. Mouthfeel is actually pretty light but way too fizzy. Taste is pretty sweet for a big ass IPA. I was expecting more hops and less malt, but there’s a lot of sugar in this one. Mix that with skunky hops, tropical fruit, booze, IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and citrus. This could have been an awesome beer; instead it’s just OK but cloying. Dial down the sweetness and the booze and you’ve got something. Glad to have tried the local brew but I won’t be buying again.

Bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm Sweden. Extreme beer for people who still is fascinated about how high in alcohol beers you actually can brew. Very malty backbone freshened up with lots of hop. Still very malty though, of course you have to hide the strong alcohol behind something.
