This is a bottle that has been in my fridge for the better part of a year. Pours black with a huge light brown head that sticks around quite a bit. The aroma is very roasty, slight chocolate. The taste is roasty, light chocolate, light coffee, semi-sweet. This is enjoyable but a little light on flavor and body for the style.

Bottle shared by Steve at the 2010 Summer Solstice. Poured black with a light brown head that dissipated slow to the edge with a few clumps in the middle. Aroma was full of dark gains with coffee and chocolate. Flavor was similar, more bitter chocolate than anything, but coffee and dark grains present as well.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ughsmash (6669) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 19, 2010
750mL bottle. Poured a healthy shade of deep brown with a towering, fluffy cap of beige head.. nice lacing as it descended. The aroma picked up deeply-roasted espresso, molasses, cocoa, and roasted barley, joined by a little vanilla.. light husky and earthy hoppage around.. this didn’t stand out in any particular regard, but it was well-balanced and inviting. The flavor was centered around roasted barley, caramel, and molasses, with somewhat sour cocoa and faint metallic notes around.. bitterness was light-moderate, sporting coffee and dry-roasted earth.. finished with an odd interplay between roasted sugars, sourness, and alcohol warmth. Medium-bodied with higher carbonation on the palate.. the sourness took over at a couple points, impeding the flow.. in the end it came back to too much roasted barley and not enough specialty malts, though it was still an alright drink.

nice dark color with a caramel colored large head. Aroma of sweet roast malt. Has a roast taste mixed with a hint of dark chocolate. Good, but not the best of imperial stouts.
