Tap the brewpub as i my free pick as part of sampler. Pours browinsh ruby red with nice head. Great holiday nose, not overpowering spices but just enough to get you in the mood. Tastes of all spice for sure, and you also get nutmeg, cloves, and coriander. I also tastes some leather, cherries, earth, raisins, plenty of malt, and some spruce. Enjoyable end to my lunch at Bethlehem Brew works

Damn, so much spice. Too much spice? Certainly is a Christmas inspired ale. Belgian yeast comes through, sweetness of the malts and possibly Belgian candied sugar.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2015 2013 corked bottle-still vigorous carbonation. aroma is very fruity, almost vinous with a very sweet candy-like aroma, mixed with spice extract and alcohol fumes muddled in with some caramel/malt-seems more similar to a spiced wine than a belgian. flavor is about the same-very sweet with a vinous overtone-spices are medicinal and cloying, balanced only by the sweetness (and I love spices). palate is prickly and astringent. heavy and unrefined, definitely rude. maybe it sat too long, or just isnt too good

Pours clear red with an off white head. Aroma is clove and winter spices with a hint of fruit. Finishes with light fruit and spice.

Pours clear red-amber with a 1-finger bone-colored head. Aroma has notes of banana, honey, spices, and maybe some candied fruit. Body is medium, with a mild thickness. Finish is dry, with some astringency. Flavor of the spices, with some honey and an earthy note at the back. Some banana and a buttery note as it warms.

Thought this was a Belgian ale, so I poured it into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to bronzed copper color. Slim quarter finger of white foamy head graced gently on the glass. The smell had a sweet brown sugar to delicate spice - ginger, cinnamon and clove. The taste started off mainly sweet and bled into the spices nicely. Light spicy sweet aftertaste led to a sticky sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping quality about it. Alcohol not felt but then again I’m not worried since it’s from Christmas of 2014. Overall, for what it is now, I like it as a Belgian ale or a Christmas spiced ale. It works.

Pours a nice clear copper with a medium tan head. Very sweet caramel aromas with some citrus. It really smells like a holiday desert. Very sweet and almost a bit sour. It has a light to medium body and thin texture. This is an above average holiday brew that you should definitely keep on your wish list.

Bottle reddish amber no head. Musty, holiday spice and alcohol nose. Flavor is very malty with spicing. A bit cloying finish.

Fegleys Brew Works Rude Elfs Reserve is a nice Holiday brew, but maybe not a regular. Head is very foamy. Malt and spiciness dominate the nose. Taste is like a gingerbread in a balanced subtle way. Pretty simple brew but gingerbread flavor is nice around Christmas time.

Smooth for a high 10.5. Aroma is nice and a pleasant carmel color. Taste is very subtle l, but packs a bite even after just one brew. Nice!

Appearance-Clear deep, rich amber, creamy off white head, nice lacing. Aroma-Christmas mulling spices, clove, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon. Taste-Sweet yet spicy, clove and nutmeg are big, alcohol and cinnamon. Malty and doughy. Not something I would want a lot but it was interesting
